Description
An additional source of alpha-lipoic acid and coenzyme Q10; helps improve carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, metabolic and energy processes in the body.
Composition
Composition per capsule weighing 400 mg (mg) active ingredients: alpha-lipoic acid – 240.0 mg, coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) – 100.0 mg. Auxiliary components: potato starch, calcium stearate (E470)
Properties
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a natural coenzyme of the mitochondrial complex that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of α-keto acids (pyruvate and α-ketoglutarate), regulates aerobic energy production processes in the cell, plays an important role in the utilization of carbohydrates and the implementation of normal energy metabolism in the cell, helps reduce blood glucose concentration, which reduces the risk of developing diabetes, and has a positive effect on the lipid profile. ALA is a powerful endogenous and exogenous antioxidant, reduces the increased risk of oxidative damage to cells, which slows down their age-related aging. ALA has a positive effect on brain function, improves memory, mood and cognitive functions, and optimizes liver function.
Coenzyme Q10 plays an important role in the processes of cellular energy metabolism, performing coenzyme and antioxidant functions, and can be successfully used in treatment and prevention programs for various diseases in adults and children. Coenzyme Q10 effectively protects lipids of biological membranes and lipoprotein particles of blood phospholipids ("membrane glue") from destructive processes of peroxidation, protects DNA and proteins of the body from oxidative modification by reactive oxygen species (ROS). With age, the biosynthesis of coenzyme Q10 progressively decreases, and its consumption increases during physical, emotional stress, inflammatory processes, oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of various diseases and reproductive disorders.
The implementation of the mechanisms of action of α-lipoic acid and coenzyme Q10 determines their important, and sometimes key, role in: stimulating the production of ATP and nitric oxide in accordance with the metabolic needs of the body, inhibiting lipid peroxidation in cells and increasing cell survival under conditions of oxidative stress, inflammation and hypoxia, and contributes to:
cytoprotection, stabilization of cell membranes and improvement of cell metabolism;
inhibition of free radical oxidation activation (oxygen hyperactivity) and reduction of the influence of inflammatory factors;
increasing tolerance to physical activity, including in cardiac patients;
normalization of lipid composition and improvement of blood rheological properties;
improvement of blood flow in the myocardium, antiarrhythmic and hypotensive effects;
anti-atherosclerotic, neurotropic and neuroprotective effects;
reducing the risks and consequences of organ hypoxia;
reducing blood glucose levels and insulin resistance, stimulating the fat burning process, which ensures effective weight loss in obesity;
hepatoprotective effect;
slowing down the aging process.
Recommendations for use
Adults 1-2 capsules per day after meals, washed down with water. The minimum course of administration is 2 months. If necessary, the course can be repeated. The daily dose and course of application may be changed by the doctor's prescription. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

Pregnant and lactating women should use it only on the recommendation and under the supervision of a doctor.
While taking the dietary supplement and in the periods between courses of use, you should avoid drinking alcoholic beverages (there is a risk of developing and progressing polyneuropathy and the lack of the desired effect).
Patients with diabetes mellitus: the blood sugar-lowering effect of insulin and oral antidiabetic agents may be enhanced, therefore, especially at the initial stage of using the dietary supplement, careful monitoring of blood sugar levels is recommended. In order to avoid symptoms of hypoglycemia, in some cases, a reduction in the dose of insulin or oral antidiabetic agents may be required.
Storage conditions
Store in the manufacturer's packaging, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and inaccessible to children, at a temperature of 5°C to 25°C and a relative humidity of no more than 75%.
