Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) contains flavonoids, quercetin derivatives, apigenin, kaempferol and luteolin, phenolcarboxylic acids, tannins, silicic acid derivatives, etc. The complex of biologically active substances of horsetail herb provides diuretic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, detoxification effects. In urine, silicic substances form protective colloids, preventing the crystallization of some mineral components and thereby preventing the formation of urinary stones.
Common knotweed (Polygonum aviculare) contains the flavonoids avicularin and quercetin, ascorbic acid, vitamins K and E, carotene, silicic acid and many of its soluble compounds, resins, tannins. The grass of knotweed has diuretic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and analgesic effects. The knotweed removes excess sodium and chlorine salts, as it increases their filtration in the renal glomeruli and slows down their reabsorption in the renal tubules. The large amount of silicic acids contained in the grass of knotweed form soluble compounds with calcium, which are excreted in the urine. The silicic acids of knotweed, passing through the urinary tract in the form of colloids, prevent the crystallization of salts, thereby preventing the formation of stones.
Cowberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) contains arbutin, vaccinin, lycopene, hydroquinone, ursolic, tartaric, gallic, quinic and ellagic acids, tannin, hyperoside (hyperin). Cowberry leaves have antimicrobial, astringent and anti-inflammatory effects, which are due to the presence of the phenolic glycoside arbutin, as well as ursolic acid and phytoncides. Cowberry leaves stimulate the excretion of residual nitrogen, urea, creatinine in the urine as a result of the diuretic effect, and due to the anabolic action of hyperin (hyperin).
Ammi visnága is one of the most powerful herbal myospasmolytics. The active ingredients contained in the fruits of Ammi visnága – kelin, visnagin, visnadin and kelol-glucoside – have antispasmodic properties: they reduce the tone of the smooth muscles of the intestine, urinary and gall bladders, dilate the bronchi and coronary vessels of the heart. The biologically active substances of Ammi are characterized by the greatest tropism to the organs of the urinary and digestive systems. At the same time, the therapeutic effect of kelin in chronic coronary insufficiency has also been described. Preparations containing Ammi visnága extract do not affect systemic blood pressure.
Madder (Rubia tinctorum) contains organic acids, triterpenoids, anthraquinones, iridoids, sugars, proteins, ascorbic acid and pectin substances. Anthraquinone derivatives are able to dissolve oxalate and phosphate stones in the urinary tract. Madder has diuretic properties, reduces smooth muscle tone and enhances peristaltic contractions of the muscles of the renal pelvis and ureters, promoting the passage and painless removal of small stones and sand from the body.
Please note that while taking the dietary supplement Litoklin, urine may turn red due to the influence of madder.
Recommendations for use
The unique phytocomposition "Litoclin" can be recommended to improve the functional state of the urinary system in urolithiasis; it has diuretic, antispasmodic and litholytic effects. Improves metabolism and prevents the crystallization of stones in uric acid diathesis.
