Lucetam solution for injection 3 g ampoule 15 ml No. 4

Lucetam injection solution is used in adults for the following indications:

Composition

Active ingredient: piracetam;

1 ml 200 mg piracetam;

Excipients: sodium acetate trihydrate, glacial acetic acid, water for injections.

Contraindication

Method of application

The drug in the form of an injection solution is used in acute cases or when oral forms of piracetam cannot be used. The drug is used either intravenously (administered slowly, over several minutes) or as an infusion (used continuously for 24 hours).

Application features

Pregnant women

The drug should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Children

Do not use the drug on children.

Drivers

Caution should be exercised when driving or operating other machinery.

Overdose

Symptoms: increased side effects of the drug. Symptoms of overdose were observed with oral administration of the drug at a dose of 75 g.

Treatment is symptomatic. There is no specific antidote, hemodialysis can be used (removal of 50-60% of piracetam).

Side effects

Nervous system disorders: common (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - hyperkinesia.

Metabolism and nutrition disorders: often (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - weight gain.

Psychiatric disorders: common (≥ 1/100 to <1/10) - nervousness; uncommon (≥ 1/1000 to <1/100) - depression.

Interaction

When used together with thyroid hormones, increased irritability, disorientation, and sleep disturbances are possible.

Co-administration with alcohol did not affect the serum concentration of piracetam, and serum alcohol concentration did not change with the use of 1.6 g of piracetam.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, out of the reach of children.

Shelf life - 3 years.
