Composition

active ingredient: iodine;

100 g of the drug contains 1 g of iodine;

Excipients: potassium iodide, glycerin, eucalyptus tincture (contains ethanol), purified water.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics.

The drug contains iodine, which has an antimicrobial effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including streptococci, staphylococci, Escherichia coli. The mechanism of antimicrobial action is manifested in protein denaturation due to interaction with N-groups of protein molecules.

Pharmacokinetics.

Iodine is excreted from the body mainly by the kidneys, partly by the gastrointestinal tract, sweat glands, and penetrates into breast milk.

Indication

Inflammatory diseases of the throat and pharynx (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, glossitis, aphthous stomatitis) - as part of complex therapy.

Contraindication

Increased individual sensitivity to iodine and other components of the drug. Hyperthyroidism, decompensated heart, kidney, liver failure, examination or therapy with radioactive iodine (2 weeks before and after the examination or therapy).

Special safety precautions

The drug is not intended for oral administration. Do not inhale and/or swallow the drug. Use with caution in laryngitis due to the possibility of laryngospasm, tuberculosis, hemorrhagic diatheses. Avoid contact with eyes.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Do not use simultaneously with hydrogen peroxide solution and other disinfectants.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Method of administration and doses

Turn the sprayer upside down, press the cap 1-2 times so that the solution enters the sprayer and sprays after pressing. Then insert the sprayer 2-3 cm into the oral cavity, close your mouth, hold your breath and press the cap 2 times so that one irrigation is carried out on the right, the second on the left. After use, rinse the removable part of the sprayer with warm water. Apply the drug 1-2 times a day (with an interval of at least 6 hours) after meals. The course of treatment depends on the severity and course of the disease, as well as on the nature of concomitant therapy.

Children

Do not prescribe to children under 8 years of age.

Overdose

Iodism may occur (runny nose, urticaria, angioedema, lacrimation, salivation, skin rashes, muscle weakness, lethargy).

Treatment: Immediate discontinuation of the drug and symptomatic therapy.

Side effects

With prolonged use, symptoms of iodism may appear (runny nose, hives, angioedema, lacrimation, drooling, skin rashes, muscle weakness, lethargy), urticaria.

Expiration date

3 years.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºС in a place inaccessible to children.
