Composition

lactose monohydrate, filler pregelatinized starch, binder corn starch, glidant silicon dioxide, melatonin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, lubricant magnesium stearate; gelatin, dye titanium dioxide.

1 gelatin capsule contains: melatonin - 3 mg (mg), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) - 2 mg (mg).

Melatonin is a natural hormone produced by the pineal gland. Physiologically, melatonin secretion increases after dark, reaching a maximum between two and four o'clock in the morning and decreases during the second half of the night. Its main action is to inhibit the secretion of gonadotropins, and to a lesser extent - corticotropin, thyrotropin, somatotropin. Under the influence of melatonin, the content of GABA and serotonin increases in the midbrain and hypothalamus.

These processes lead to the normalization of circadian rhythms, changes in sleep and wakefulness, the rhythmicity of gonadotropic effects and sexual function, increase mental and physical performance, and reduce the manifestations of stress reactions.

In addition, melatonin normalizes the permeability of the vascular wall and increases its resistance, improves microcirculation, reduces systolic pressure and heart rate in elderly patients at rest, reduces the increase in blood pressure during psycho-emotional stress, and has an immunomodulatory effect on the body.
