Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Menovazan is a combined drug and its properties are due to the action of the active components. In particular, due to the selective action of menthol on cold receptors, the ointment causes a feeling of cold, and the irritating effect can be replaced by slight anesthesia. Reflexively, menthol changes the tone of the vessels. This applies to both superficial vessels and vessels located deeper. Novocaine has a sufficiently pronounced anesthetic activity. It does not change the tone of the vessels. Anesthesin causes superficial anesthesia. The combination of these components in one drug provides the ability to cause a reverse violation of the excitability and conductivity of nerve receptors and conductors upon direct contact with them, to exhibit an irritating and distracting effect, to suppress the excitation of nerve fiber membranes, to reduce the amplitude of the action potential, to increase the threshold of depolarization of the nerve fiber membrane, to slow down the rate of development of the ascending phase of the action potential, to reduce the degree of excitation in nerve elements.
