Properties

Methylene blue is an antiseptic dye. The mechanism of antiseptic action of methylene blue is based on its ability to react with certain acidic or basic groups of substances of gram-positive bacterial cells, with mucopolysaccharides and proteins to form poorly soluble and slowly ionizing complexes.

Recommendations for use

Methylene blue solution is recommended for use in burns, pyoderma, and various purulent-inflammatory skin processes.

Apply locally.
