Mikosan set for removing fungal nail plate lesions
Instructions for Mikozan set for removing fungal nail plate lesions
Composition
Water (47.6%), rye ferment filtrate (40%), pentylene glycol (10%), dimethyl isosorbide (1.5%) and hydroxyethyl cellulose (0.9%).
Pharmacological properties
When applied to the nail, Mikosan® forms a water-soluble film that covers its surface and penetrates deeply through the nail plate, increases the density of nail structures, reduces their porosity, and also forms protection against the effects of pathogenic fungi, creating conditions unfavorable for their growth.
Mycosan® has a destructive effect on the lipid membrane of fungi, causing their death.
Mycosan® prevents further growth and spread of fungus on the nail, promoting its natural regrowth.
Indication
The "Mikosan" set is recommended for removing fungal lesions of the nail plate, it is available as a set, which includes: Nail serum in a tube with a brush applicator - 1 tube; Disposable nail files - one side with a large abrasive, the other - with a fine one - 10 pcs.; Package insert containing detailed information on the method of using Mikosan®.
A convenient tube with a brush applicator that allows you to easily and evenly apply the serum.
10 disposable files for personal hygiene and removing dead layers of the nail plate.
A template for monitoring nail improvement and a Patient Diary will help you follow the recommendations and evaluate the result.
Mikosan can be used both for therapy and for prevention of fungal nail infections, as well as for general strengthening and restoration of the nail plate.
The product has a dual transdermal system: Dimethylisosorbide and Pentylene glycol promote rapid penetration of the serum through the keratinized layers of the nail plate and enhance the effect of the main substance of rye enzyme filtrate.
Serum creates unfavorable conditions for the growth of pathogenic fungi, which leads to the destruction of the lipid membrane of the fungi and their subsequent death.
Hydroxyethylcellulose provides a reliable surface barrier against fungal infection penetration into healthy nails, and also strengthens weakened and brittle nails.
Contraindication
Individual sensitivity to the components of the product, children under 4 years of age.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
With caution, requires consultation with a doctor.
Method of administration and doses
Apply 2 times a day to the entire surface of the damaged nail.
The duration of the course depends on the degree of damage and the individual growth rate of the nail plate.
Strengthening and nourishing nail plates in case of increased brittleness and delamination
Apply Mikosan® once a day to unaffected nails.
Removal of nail fungus
Remove nail polish and/or clean nails before use.
Once a week, carefully file the affected nail with the included file (if necessary if there is thickening or a change in the shape of the nail plate).
Apply Mikosan® 2 times a day (morning/evening) to the entire surface of the affected nail for a long period of time - at least 4 weeks.
After applying Mikosan®, the nail must be dried for 1-2 minutes.
After the main course of application (4 weeks), it is recommended to use Mikosan® once a day until a healthy nail has fully grown.
The average duration of the course is 3-6 months (depending on the area of the lesion and the individual growth rate of the nail plate).
The first visible results are observed a few weeks after starting to use Mikosan®.
Prevention (prevention) of recurrence of fungal nail infection
Apply Mikosan® once a day to unaffected nails.
Templates for monitoring the improvement of the nail/s
To assess the effectiveness of Mikosan®, it is recommended to record the size of the affected area of the nail once a month.
In the indicated template, mark the area of the nail that is affected by the fungal infection - this will help you remember what the nail looked like before applying Mikosan®.
Mark the affected area on the templates every month until the affected area disappears completely.
Show the specialist this diagram so that he can assess the dynamics of improvement in the condition of the nail/s at the moment.
Diary of use of Mikosan®
Use a diary to track your results. Use Mycosan® twice a day and file the affected area once a week.
Although improvement may not be noticeable in the first or second month of using Mycosan®, this does not indicate that Mycosan® is ineffective.
Human nail plates grow slowly (especially on the big toe), and complete regrowth of the affected area occurs within 6-9 months.
Record the dynamics of improvement in the condition of the nail/s using templates.
