Mirofuril capsules are used for acute diarrhea of infectious etiology.
Composition
The active substance is nifuroxazide (one capsule contains 200 mg of nifuroxazide).
Excipients: sucrose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate; capsule shell: titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin.
Contraindication
hypersensitivity to nifuroxazide, nitrofuran derivatives and other components of the drug; fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase and isomaltase insufficiency; pregnancy; children under 6 years of age (for this dosage form).Method of application
Take orally, regardless of meals.
Recommended dosage:
Children from 6 to 18 years old - 200 mg 3-4 times a day (interval between doses 6-8 hours); adults - 200 mg 4 times a day (interval between doses 6 hours).The duration of the course of treatment is 5-7 days, but not more than 7 days. If there is no improvement during the first 3 days of taking the drug, you should consult a doctor. Use the drug only according to the method of use and in the doses specified in the instructions. Pregnant women
In animal studies, no teratogenic effects were found. However, as a precautionary measure, taking nifuroxazide during pregnancy is contraindicated. During the lactation period, breastfeeding may be continued in the case of a short course of treatment after consulting a doctor.
Drivers
The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate other mechanisms.
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose have not been described. In case of accidental overdose, gastric lavage and symptomatic treatment are recommended.
Side effects
Allergic reactions (itching, rash, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylactic shock). The occurrence of an allergic reaction requires discontinuation of the drug. In the future, the patient should avoid taking nifuroxazide and other nitrofuran derivatives. From the side of the hematopoietic and lymphatic systems, one case of neutropenia was reported.
Temporary abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and increased diarrhea may occur.

Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, out of the reach of children and protected from light.
