Description
Montmorol® contains a scientifically proven combination of plant-based substances with proven hypouricemic and anti-inflammatory effects. Montmorol® in combination with traditional hypouricemic therapy contributes to a faster reduction in uric acid levels and the achievement of a stable and long interrelapse period. Montmorol® can be recommended for patients with diabetes mellitus and urolithiasis to prevent hyperuricemia and reduce elevated uric acid levels.
CherryPURE® is made from 100% natural Montmorency cherries (Prunus Cerasus). The dry concentrate is made from only the nutrient-rich skin of the Montmorency cherry, freeze-dried to retain the most active ingredients, at a concentration of 50:1. Harvested at the optimum ripeness for the highest nutrient content, CherryPURE® is the most concentrated cherry powder on the world market. Native to Lake Michigan in the USA, Montmorency cherries contain significantly higher levels of anthocyanins (red-purple pigments), flavonoids, polyphenols and many antioxidants than other cherries. The tart Montmorency cherry has been shown in numerous clinical studies to reduce uric acid levels by excreting urates in the urine. The consumption of Montmorency cherries is included in the lifestyle and nutritional recommendations for patients with gout and hyperuricemia in the updated guidelines of the Austrian Society of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation.
Dry extract of white willow (Salix alba) is a natural anti-inflammatory and analgesic agent due to the presence of salicin and other salicylic acid derivatives. Willow bark has a long tradition of use as an antipyretic and analgesic, starting from the 18th century. Currently, there is special attention to willow extract as a phytoanalgesic with anti-inflammatory action, which has better tolerability compared to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Willow extract is included in the British Pharmacopoeia and recommended by the German Commission E. The mechanism of action of white willow extract is to inhibit the enzymes COX-1 and COX-2, which leads to blocking the release of inflammatory prostaglandins. Various randomized placebo-controlled studies comparing white willow bark with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have shown efficacy comparable to these agents. Salicin from white willow bark is converted to salicylic acid in the liver and is thought to have fewer side effects than aspirin and other NSAIDs. Thus, willow extract affects one of the key links in the pathogenesis of gout - inflammation, and works synergistically with Montmorency tart cherries.
Recommendations for use
Montmorol® is recommended as an additional source of biologically active substances of plant origin that help reduce uric acid levels in hyperuricemia and gout. Montmorol® promotes the excretion (excretion) of urates with urine, thereby reducing uric acid levels and its negative impact on organs and systems.
