Composition
active ingredient: tincture of motherwort herb (Tinctura Leonuri) (1:5) (extractant – ethanol 70%);

Main physical and chemical properties: transparent liquid of greenish-brown color. During storage, sediment formation is allowed.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
By the nature of its action, motherwort tincture is similar to valerian preparations. The calming effect occurs due to the strengthening of the process of inhibition or the reduction of the process of excitation in the central nervous system. It does not exhibit a hypnotic effect, but it facilitates the onset of physiological sleep and deepens it. It does not cause the phenomena of addiction or mental dependence.

Pharmacokinetics have not been studied.
Indication
Functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia of the hypertensive type), initial stages of arterial hypertension, increased emotional excitability, irritability, mild forms of sleep disorders.
Contraindication
Severe hypotension (low blood pressure), bradycardia. Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
Motherwort tincture can potentiate the pharmacological effects of sedatives, hypnotics, analgesics, antihypertensive drugs, and cardiac glycosides, and also enhances the effects of alcohol.
The doctor should be informed about the simultaneous use of any other medications.
Application features
It is not recommended to use the drug for a long time due to the ethanol content.

When taking Motherwort tincture, you should refrain from driving vehicles and working with potentially dangerous mechanisms.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Since the preparation contains ethyl alcohol, the tincture is not recommended for use by women during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Method of administration and doses
Motherwort tincture should be taken orally after meals. Adults are recommended to take 30-50 drops of tincture 3-4 times a day, children over 12 years old - at the rate of 1 drop per 1 year of life.
The duration of the treatment course is determined by the doctor individually for each patient, taking into account the nature and severity of the pathological process, the characteristics of the course of the disease, the tolerability of the drug, and the stability of the achieved therapeutic effect.
Children
Since the preparation contains ethyl alcohol, the tincture should not be used internally by children under 12 years of age.
Overdose
If the recommended doses of the drug are exceeded, dizziness, drowsiness, and decreased blood pressure may occur. In case of overdose, the drug should be discontinued and immediate symptomatic and supportive therapy should be administered (according to the patient's clinical condition).
It is possible to develop hypersensitivity to the drug.
Adverse reactions
With individual hypersensitivity, local allergic reactions (redness and swelling of the skin, rashes, itching) may develop, as well as dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and decreased mental and physical performance.

4 years.

Store in original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Sedimentation is allowed during storage.
