The addition of oat bran softens the burning effect of mustard powder and soothes irritated skin. Especially good for dry skin.

Method of application

Gentle bath: you need 40 g of mustard mixture and 15 liters of water heated to 40-42 ° C. The duration of the bath is 10 minutes.

Mustard compress: mix 100 g of mustard powder with warm water until thick, apply to a cotton or linen cloth and place on the sore spot (for pneumonia and bronchitis - on the chest) for 5-10 minutes (3-5 minutes is enough for children), after which the sore spot should be cleaned of mustard. Before use, the most sensitive and delicate areas of the body should be pre-lubricated with Vaseline.

Infusion for baths: stir 400 g of powder in warm water until a mushy state, put in a warm place until a pungent specific odor appears, then pour into the bath and stir well. The water temperature should be about 37-38 °C. The bath should last no more than 6 minutes. After the bath, rinse your body with warm water, wrap yourself in a sheet and lie down in a warm bed.

Shampoo for oily hair: take 3 tablespoons of mustard powder per 1 liter of warm water, dissolve the powder in 0.5 cups of warm water, then add water. Use the mixture to wash your hair instead of shampoo. After washing, rinse your hair thoroughly, first with warm and then with cool water.

Precautions

Some people may experience allergic reactions to mustard.

Contraindication

Mustard preparations are contraindicated in kidney inflammation and pulmonary tuberculosis.
