Nai-li are three-layer tablets that provide effective, long-lasting dissolution of magnesium.
The tablet contains:
a layer that dissolves quickly in the stomach and contains magnesium oxide, the rapid and complete dissolution of which is ensured by the acidity of the gastric environment;
b) an intermediate layer containing a neutral hydrophilic agent (fiber or synthetic substance) capable of conducting water from the gastric environment through capillary action. In addition, this layer prevents adverse interactions between the "active" layers during dissolution;
c) a sustained release layer containing magnesium hydroxide that rapidly dissolves in the hydrogel matrix; this matrix is formed after hydration with biological fluids through the presence of an agent that creates a weakly acidic environment, such as citric acid, which slowly dissolves and allows the magnesium to leave the matrix in dissolved form. This layer also contains a compound capable of creating an acidic microenvironment in the hydrogel that stimulates and improves the flux of magnesium compounds (salt, oxide or hydroxide) in solution.
Effective complete dissolution of magnesium within 24 hours.
The absorption and dissolution efficiency of the ingredients contained in Ny-Li was compared with a reference product available on the market using SHIME® technology. The results of the replenishment test show better dissolution and absorption properties of Ny-Li in the stomach and small intestine compared to the reference value, indicating higher bioavailability and efficacy of the product.
