General characteristics

Regular blood glucose testing requires a significant supply of consumables, including test strips. Typically, a blood glucose monitoring starter kit comes with only a small supply of test strips, so it's important to make sure you always have the indicators on hand.

NEO test strips from the NEW MED brand (Austria) are perfectly compatible with the NEO glucometer of this manufacturer. The test strips come in a set of 50 pieces (2 tubes of 25 pieces). The basis of glucose measurement using NEO test strips is the enzymatic glucose oxidase method. This method is characterized by the special accuracy of the results obtained. Thanks to autocoding, the error of the data obtained using NEO test strips does not exceed 0.03%.

To perform the analysis, you need to obtain only 1 drop of fresh capillary blood. The sampling site is the finger, forearm, palm (if it is impossible to take blood from the finger). The hematocrit range varies from 30 to 50 percent. The measurement range is 1.1 - 33.3 mmol / l.

NEO test strips are stored for 6 months from the date of opening the original vial. After this period, the consumables should be disposed of, as the enzyme glucose oxidase is sensitive to oxygen in the air, and results obtained with expired test strips may not be accurate.

NEO test strips are disposable consumables for measuring blood glucose; their reuse is contrary to the hygiene and sanitation standards for conducting the experiment.
