Nystatin-Health oral suspension 100,000 IU/ml bottle 50 ml

Nystatin-Health suspension is indicated for the prevention and treatment of candidiasis of the oral cavity, esophagus, and intestinal tract in adults and children.
The suspension provides effective prevention of oral candidiasis in children born to mothers with vaginal candidiasis.
Composition
active ingredient: nystatin;
1 ml of the drug contains nystatin 100,000 IU;
excipients: sucrose; glycerin; ethanol 96%; methylparaben (E 218); propylparaben (E 216); sodium carmellose; sodium hydrogen phosphate; sodium saccharin; neotame; concentrated hydrochloric acid; purified water; Raspberry flavoring containing propylene glycol (E 1520), ethanol 96%, alpha-tocopherol (E 307), ascorbic acid (E 300), purified water.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients of the drug.
Method of application
Adults: For the treatment of denture ulcers and oral infections in adults caused by Candida albicans, 1 ml of the suspension is administered into the oral cavity 4 times a day; contact of the drug with the affected areas should be ensured for as long as possible.
Children: For intestinal and oral candidiasis (thrush) in children from birth, 1 ml should be administered into the oral cavity 4 times a day. The longer the suspension is in contact with the affected area in the mouth before swallowing, the greater its effect will be.
For the prevention of candidiasis in newborns, the recommended dose is 1 ml once a day.
Application features
Pregnant women
Nystatin can be prescribed during pregnancy only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
Children
The drug is used in children from birth.
Overdose
Since nystatin is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, overdose or accidental ingestion is unlikely to cause systemic toxicity. Oral doses of nystatin greater than 5,000,000 IU daily have caused nausea and gastrointestinal upset.
Adverse reactions
Nystatin is generally well tolerated in all age groups, even with prolonged use. If irritation or sensitization occurs, treatment should be discontinued. Isolated cases of nausea during therapy have been reported.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf life: 2 years
