Composition

active ingredient: oak bark (quercus cortex);

1 pack contains oak bark (quercus cortex) 50 g or 100 g.

Dosage form

Bark.

Main physical and chemical properties: dried, grooved and wrinkled pieces of bark of freshly harvested young shoots up to 6 mm thick, which pass through a sieve with holes with a diameter of 7 mm. The outer surface is light gray or greenish-gray, more often smooth, occasionally with lentils. The inner surface is pale brown or reddish-brown with slightly embossed longitudinal grooves. The fracture is acrid and fibrous. The smell is weak, peculiar, intensifies when the bark is moistened with water. The taste is strongly astringent.

Pharmacological properties

The biologically active substances of the drug have an astringent, anti-inflammatory, and anti-putrefactive effect.

Indication

Stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis and other inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat (in complex therapy).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Oak bark is prescribed by a doctor, and only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

No effect.

Method of administration and doses

Place 2 tablespoons of bark in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, then immediately strain, squeeze the residue to the strained broth. Bring the volume of the broth to 200 ml with boiled water. Shake the broth before use.

Use to rinse the mouth and throat 6-8 times a day.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

The drug is used in children aged 3 years and older as prescribed by a doctor.
