How to use a glucometer
The device does not require any settings, such simple testing protects against possible errors during analysis. You just need to insert a test strip (the glucometer turns on automatically) and apply blood. The test strip itself, using the capillary principle, sucks in a tiny drop of blood for analysis. And after 5 seconds, an accurate result will be displayed on the screen. At the same time, each test result is displayed on the glucometer screen along with a range indicator arrow, which indicates one of the colors below the screen: blue - the result is below the range; green - the result is within the range; red - the result is above the range. And thanks to the new technology of the pen and lancets, testing is now practically painless.
Test principle: Glucose in the blood sample reacts with the enzyme GLUCOSE OXIDASE on the test strip to produce a small electrical current. The strength of this current varies depending on the level (concentration) of glucose in the blood sample. The OneTouch Select Plus Simple meter measures the strength of this current, calculates your blood glucose level, and displays your result on the meter screen.

How to use test strips
To perform the test, you only need to insert the test strip into the glucometer (it turns on automatically), after the blood drop appears on the glucometer screen, you can perform the test. Bring the test strip to the blood drop with the upper cut, the capillary strip and itself draws in the required blood sample. After 5 seconds, the accurate result will appear on the screen. Store the test strips only in the original bottle. Carefully read the rules for using the test strips and glucometer in the instructions for use and the rules for performing the test in the glucometer User Guide (supplied with your system) to prevent errors during analysis.
Features of using test strips
Store test strips only in the original vial. To avoid damage or contamination, do not transfer test strips to any other packaging.
Only open the test strip vial when you are ready to use a test strip. After removing a test strip from the vial, close the cap tightly immediately. Do not use test strips if the vial is damaged or has been left open. Avoid contact of test strips with dirt, food or liquids. You may touch any part of the test strip surface with clean, dry hands. Do not bend, cut or deform the test strips. Do not test with a test strip that is damaged or bent.
Test strip storage conditions
Store the test strip vial in a cool, dry place between 5°C and 30°C. Do not refrigerate. Protect from direct sunlight and heat. Exposure to temperature and/or humidity outside the recommended storage range may cause inaccurate test results. The expiration date is printed on the vial. Do not use after the expiration date.
