Properties
Opefera is a combined probiotic that includes live lyophilized bacteria (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Streptococcus thermophiles, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium spp. (Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium infantis), Saccharomyces boulardii, dry extract of chamomile flowers (Matricaria chamomilla L.), inulin.
Opefera is a combined probiotic that optimizes the body's functions, regulates the balance and normalizes the composition of the intestinal microflora.
Lacto- and bifidobacteria (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium spp. (Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium infantis) have high antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, inhibit the vital activity of staphylococci, shigella, rotaviruses, proteus, enteropathogenic Escherichia coli, some yeast-like fungi, and prevent their adhesion to the intestinal mucosa.
Lacto- and bifidobacteria create favorable conditions for the development of beneficial intestinal microflora, maintain and regulate the physiological balance of intestinal microflora, contribute to the normalization of the gastrointestinal microbiocenosis, and also increase the body's nonspecific resistance, have immunomodulatory properties, synthesize amino acids, vitamins (K, group B, including pantothenic acid), which promote the absorption of iron, calcium, and vitamin D. Lacto- and bifidobacteria activate parietal digestion, participate in the enzymatic breakdown of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and the processes of bile acid and cholesterol metabolism. The acidic environment created by lactobacteria promotes the development of bifidobacteria, which make up 85–95% of the body's intestinal microflora.
Streptococcus thermophilus has maximum lactase activity and synthesizes polysaccharides, and is a nutrient medium for lactobacteria.
Due to this, these types of bacteria exhibit symbiosis, compensating for each other's metabolism and stimulating mutual growth.
Saccharomyces boulardii, when passing through the gastrointestinal tract, exerts a biological protective effect on the normal intestinal microflora. The genetically determined resistance of Saccharomyces boulardii to the action of antibiotics allows their use simultaneously with antibiotics to protect the normal microbiocenosis of the gastrointestinal tract.
Chamomile flower extract (Matricaria chamomilla L.) contains essential oil, which includes chamazulene, prochamazulene, other terpenes and sesquiterpenes, as well as flavonoids, polysaccharides, macro- and microelements, carotene, ascorbic acid, β-sitosterol, choline, organic acids.
This complex of biologically active substances exhibits antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, astringent, diaphoretic, choleretic and sedative properties, increases the secretory activity of the digestive glands, stimulates appetite, eliminates intestinal spasms, inhibits fermentation processes, and improves the functional state of the gastrointestinal tract.
Inulin is a plant polysaccharide, a polymer of D-fructose. It has a positive effect on the functional state of the gastrointestinal microflora, as a prebiotic it stimulates the growth of bifidobacteria, increases the absorption of calcium and magnesium, and helps normalize lipid and carbohydrate metabolism.
Recommendations for use
Opefera is recommended as a dietary supplement to the diet as an additional source of probiotic lacto- and bifidobacteria, essential oils, as well as flavonoids, polysaccharides, macro- and microelements, carotene, ascorbic acid, β-sitosterol, choline, organic acids to regulate the activity of the gastrointestinal microflora and improve digestion.
The complex of probiotics and prebiotics included in its composition promotes general strengthening of the body, increases immunity and prevents the development of dysbiosis, gastroenteritis, dyspepsia, diarrhea (associated with taking antibiotics), including in the case of eradication of Helicobacter pylori, hospital diarrhea; transient intestinal dysfunctions (diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, colic) associated with changes in diet, travel and other reasons; allergic diseases (allergic rhinitis, asthma, eczema, atopic dermatitis, diathesis); maintains a normal balance of vaginal microflora during and after treatment with antibacterial drugs and other medications, during prenatal preparation of pregnant women at risk (with impaired purity of vaginal secretion); helps increase tolerance to lactose in milk, improve skin microflora.
Method of application
Capsules should be taken after meals, washed down with a small amount of drinking water at room temperature:
young children (1-3 years old) - 1 capsule 1-2 times a day;
children aged 3-12 years - 1 capsule 1-3 times a day;

Usually the course of use is 3–4 weeks.
In case of dysbiosis after the end of the course of antibiotics (and other drugs), provided that the microflora has not completely normalized, after 10-14 days, maintenance doses of Opefera (half the recommended daily dose) are prescribed for 1-1.5 months.
The duration of the treatment course depends on the characteristics of the body and is determined by the doctor individually.
Attention! To dissolve the contents of the capsule, use drinking water of guaranteed safety and quality. It is unacceptable to use drinking water from wells and catchment sources.
