Optinol eye drops 0.21% 10 ml

Instructions Optinol eye drops 0.21% 10 ml

10 ml of solution contain: sodium hyaluronate 21.15 mg;
Excipients: sodium chloride; sodium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous; sodium dihydrogen phosphate, dihydrate; purified water.
Dosage form
Moisturizing eye drops, preservative-free.
Pharmacological properties
The main goal of treating dry eye is to increase the stability and volume of the precorneal tear film. Hyaluronic acid, which is part of Optinol in the form of sodium hyaluronate, has a chemical structure, molecular weight and rheological properties similar to mucin, a component of human tears. Due to its properties, hyaluronic acid moisturizes the eye without impairing vision. In addition, its ability to bind water allows you to keep the surface of the eye moist.
When applied topically, hyaluronic acid increases the stability of the precorneal tear film, has a positive effect on the epithelial layer, helps increase the volume of tear fluid and corneal moisture, and also reduces the evaporation of tears from the surface of the eye.
Sodium hyaluronate is not absorbed after topical application.
Optinol 0.21% eye drops (1 ml per bottle) increase the stability of the precorneal tear film, have a positive effect on the epithelial layer, help increase the volume of tear fluid and corneal moisture, and also reduce the evaporation of tears from the surface of the eye.

Optinol is compatible with all types of contact lenses and can provide a feeling of comfort when wearing contact lenses. When using Optinol 0.21%, it is not necessary to remove contact lenses from the eyes during instillation. The Optinol eye dropper has a filter that protects the contents of the container from contamination after opening for 180 days. Optinol is intended for individual use by one person only. In case of severe or persistent dry eye, you should consult a doctor.
Method of administration and doses
Instill 1-2 drops into each eye 3 times a day. After instillation, blink several times to evenly distribute the solution over the entire surface of the eye. With each blink, sodium hyaluronate forms a protective film on the surface of the eye.
If necessary, the frequency of instillation can be increased, as Optinol does not contain preservatives. A significant increase in the frequency of use of Optinol (for example, more than 10 times a day) is allowed only on the prescription of an ophthalmologist and under his supervision.
