Method of application

Ozokerite is applied in the form of compresses and by the cuvette-application method (layering method). For compresses, a gauze swab (6-8 layers) is impregnated with molten ozokerite. The pad is squeezed, cooled to +50 °C and applied to the appropriate areas of the skin. The compress usually consists of two pads placed one on top of the other and covered with waxed paper, a napkin, cotton wool. The temperature of the second (outer) pad can be 60-70 °C (but not higher than 80 °C), depending on the indications.
