Properties
White cinquefoil contains elemental iodine and the anion of iodic acid, micro- and macroelements, in particular Si, Al, Zn, Mn. In folk medicine, raw materials of white cinquefoil have been used since the 18th century for the treatment of thyroid diseases, in particular, for thyrotoxicosis, various forms of goiter, and thyroid hyperplasia. White cinquefoil also has antibacterial activity, so it is used for infectious colitis, enterocolitis, and other gastrointestinal diseases. White cinquefoil is used for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the liver, cardiovascular system, and gastrointestinal tract, in particular peptic ulcer, as well as as an antiseptic and wound-healing agent.
Selenium in the human body interacts with vitamins, enzymes and biological membranes, participates in the regulation of metabolism, the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, as well as in redox processes. Selenium is a component of more than 30 vital biologically active compounds of the body. Selenium is part of the active center of enzymes of the antioxidant and antiradical protection system of the body, the metabolism of nucleic acids, lipids, hormones (glutathione peroxidase, iodothyronine deiodinase, thioredoxin reductase, phosphoselenium phosphatase, phospholipid-hydro). Selenium is part of muscle tissue proteins, myocardial proteins. Selenium also contributes to the formation of triiodothyronine (a biologically active form of thyroid hormones of the thyroid gland). Method of application
Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 1 capsule twice a day, regardless of meals.
