Solution for injection "Papaverin-Zdorovya" is used for the following indications:

Composition

1 ml of solution contains (active ingredient) papaverine hydrochloride 20 mg.

Excipients: disodium edetate, methionine, water for injections.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, arterial hypotension, atrioventricular conduction disorders, coma, respiratory depression, simultaneous use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors, glaucoma, hepatic failure, bronchoobstructive syndrome, age over 75 years (risk of hyperthermia).

Method of application

The drug is administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly and intravenously.

Subcutaneously and intramuscularly, adults and children over 14 years of age should be administered 0.5-2 ml (10-40 mg) of a 2% solution, and intravenously administered very slowly, at a rate of 3-5 ml / minute, dissolving 1 ml of a 2% solution of papaverine hydrochloride (20 mg) in 10-20 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution. Intravenous administration is effective.

Maximum doses for adults for subcutaneous or intramuscular administration: single - 100 mg (5 ml of 2% solution), daily - 300 mg (15 ml of 2% solution); for intravenous administration: single - 20 mg (1 ml of 2% solution), daily - 120 mg (6 ml of 2% solution).

Children aged one to 14 years should take the drug 2-3 times a day. A single dose is 0.7-1 mg/kg of body weight.

The maximum daily dose for children is (regardless of the method of administration): at the age of 1-2 years - 20 mg (1 ml of 2% solution), 3-4 years - 30 mg (1.5 ml of 2% solution), 5-6 years - 40 mg (2 ml of 2% solution), 7-9 years - 60 mg (3 ml of 2% solution), 10-14 years - 100 mg (5 ml of 2% solution).

Pregnant women

The safety and efficacy of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been established. Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment.

Children

The drug should be used in children over the age of one year.

Drivers

During treatment, you should refrain from driving or operating machinery.

Overdose

Symptoms: visual impairment, diplopia, weakness, dry mouth, constipation, redness of the skin of the upper body, hyperventilation, nystagmus, ataxia, tachycardia, arterial hypotension, asystole, ventricular flutter, collapse. When using high doses of the drug and its rapid introduction into a vein, the development of arrhythmias or complete atrioventricular block is possible. When used in very high doses, papaverine has a moderate sedative effect.

Treatment: discontinuation of the drug, symptomatic treatment. There is no specific antidote. Completely removed from the blood during hemodialysis.

Side effects

From the nervous system: drowsiness, increased sweating, weakness, headache, dizziness.

From the sensory organs: visual impairment, diplopia.

On the part of the digestive system: anorexia, nausea, constipation, dry mouth, diarrhea.

From the hepatobiliary system: jaundice, liver dysfunction, increased activity of hepatic transaminases.

Cardiovascular system: arrhythmias, tachycardia, hypotension, partial or complete block, asystole, ventricular extrasystole, ventricular fibrillation, ventricular flutter, collapse.

Blood disorders: eosinophilia.

Respiratory: apnea.

Skin, subcutaneous tissue and immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including respiratory, anaphylactic shock, itching, skin rash, urticaria, hyperemia of the skin of the upper body, face and hands.

Interaction

Pharmaceutically compatible with dibazole, chemically incompatible with caffeine-sodium benzoate. Use only the recommended solvent.
