Description
Papilocare® is a gel that acts by forming a film on the cervical mucosa, creating a protective barrier that prevents the risk of integration of the human papillomavirus (HPV). Thus, it blocks the integration of HPV, preventing the formation of new lesions, and also acts as an aid to the re-epithelialization of existing lesions. It also stimulates the regeneration of the vaginal microbiota.
Composition
The main ingredients are:
components that allow the formation of a mucoadhesive gel on the mucous membrane of the cervix and vagina, creating a protective film on it, which contributes to the barrier effect of the product;
hyaluronic acid niosomes, which have a moisturizing effect, help maintain tissue elasticity;
β-glucan niosomes: their antioxidant properties support the structure and natural functionality of the skin and mucous membranes;
Centella asiatica phytosomes, the action of which is aimed at restoring the affected mucous membrane;
Coriolus versicolor extract with re-epithelializing and restorative effects on lesions and micro-damages of the cervix and vagina;
Neem extract, which has emollient properties, promotes the natural healing process;
BioEcolia®, a prebiotic that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacterial flora and restores the balance of microbiota in the cervical and vaginal area;
Aloe vera extract, which has a moisturizing, re-epithelializing and restorative effect on the cervical and vaginal area.
Indications for use
To monitor and promote re-epithelialization of the cervical transformation zone to prevent the risk of lesions (LSIL) caused by HPV.
For adjunctive treatment of intraepithelial lesions caused by HPV.
To restore and promote re-epithelialization of damage to the mucous membrane of the cervix and vagina.
For the treatment of dryness of the cervical and vaginal mucosa.
To restore the balance of vaginal microflora.
To improve vaginal health.
To create conditions for rapid healing of rashes caused by scratching due to tingling or itching.
To form a protective film that quickly reduces discomfort, creating the right conditions for the natural healing process.
Application features
Papilocare® gel should not be used by people who are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients. If the patient experiences discomfort after use, the product should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. There are no data on the use of Papilocare® gel in patients using vaginal contraceptives (e.g. vaginal ring, female condom). Therefore, Papilocare® gel is not recommended for use in women using these types of contraceptives. In case of pregnancy, a doctor should be consulted before using Papilocare® gel and its use should only be considered under close medical supervision.
Method of application
The use of Papilocare® gel is recommended for women (over 18 years of age) infected with the human papillomavirus (HPV), regardless of whether they have lesions caused by the virus (ASCUS or LSIL).
The duration of treatment is 6 months, but can be extended as prescribed by a doctor. To obtain the desired results, it is important to complete the full course of treatment.
It is recommended to start treatment after menstruation.
First month: You should use one cannula per day for 21 consecutive days, then take a break for the next 7 days.
Subsequent months (months 2 to 6): One cannula should be used every other day for 21 days.
The recommendation to suspend treatment with Papilocare® gel during menstruation is related to patient comfort and not to clinical incompatibility.
It is advisable to apply Papilocare® gel immediately before bedtime.
Papilocare® gel is compatible with the use of condoms.
Storage conditions
Store in a place protected from light and out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
