Description

Pharmacological properties

Paracetamol preparation with rapid analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Indication

Symptomatic treatment of pain syndrome and hyperthermia in acute respiratory viral infections. The drug is also prescribed as an analgesic for neuralgia, myositis, arthritis, and headache.

Application

Children aged 3 to 12 months are administered rectally 1 suppository of 0.08 g, from 1 to 6 years - 1 suppository of 0.17 g, from 7 to 12 years - 1 suppository of 0.33 g, at the age of 12 years and older - 1-2 suppositories of 0.33 g. Depending on the patient's condition, 3-4 suppositories are administered during the day with an interval of at least 4 hours. The duration of the drug is determined by the nature and severity of the disease, the achieved effect.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, liver and kidney diseases, hematopoietic disorders.

Side effects

With prolonged use, fever, decreased blood glucose levels, hematopoiesis disorders, and jaundice are possible.

Interactions

Should not be administered concurrently with barbiturates.
