Paraffin has a high heat capacity and low thermal conductivity, which allows it to be used in the form of applications for rehabilitation, cosmetic and preventive purposes, for thermal effects on the body. As a result of applications, accompanied by heating of tissues, local blood circulation increases. Paraffin contains biologically active substances that can have anti-inflammatory, resorbing, analgesic effects.
Paraffin thermal procedures are used as a general strengthening procedure, as a supplement in a comprehensive rehabilitation program for injuries (crushed places, sprained tendons and ligaments) of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nervous system, genitourinary system. To enhance the rehabilitation effect, paraffin can be combined (alternating procedures) with galvanization or electrophoresis, ultrasound therapy, massage, physiotherapy, general mineral baths.

Method of application
Layers (molten paraffin t 55-600 C is applied to the skin with a brush). Napkin-application (gauze/bandage folded in 8-10 layers is dipped in molten paraffin t 55-600, squeezed and applied to the stain, covered with a napkin, and then with a blanket). Cuvette-application (molten paraffin is poured into cuvettes, then solidified paraffin at t 45-500 C is removed from the cuvette onto an oiled cloth and applied together with it to the area to be treated).The procedure should be performed daily or every other day for 15-30 minutes, 10-20 sessions. After the procedure, the patient should rest for 30-40 minutes.
Contraindication
Paraffin apothecation is contraindicated in case of general contraindications to heat treatment, pregnancy, and sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Before using the product, you should consult a specialist and, if necessary, conduct a skin-prick test for individual sensitivity to the product and the ability to tolerate increased temperature.
