Paranix anti-pediculosis hair shampoo 200 ml bottle with comb

About head lice
Head lice are small, wingless insects that live only in the hair and feed on blood. They move with the help of three pairs of legs, which allow them to attach to the hair. An adult louse is 3–4 mm long and lives for about 30 days. A female can lay 200 to 300 eggs during her lifetime. Lice hatch after 7 days and become adults after 10 days. When feeding, the lice's saliva penetrates the scalp, which can cause a hypersensitivity reaction that causes severe itching and irritation. The diagnosis is confirmed by carefully examining the hair for the presence of lice or nits, which are more visible.
About Paranix® shampoo for the treatment of pediculosis
The effectiveness of Paranix® Head Lice Shampoo is clinically proven*: its dual-action formula not only eliminates lice and nits, but is also convenient to use, as it simultaneously washes the hair and makes it easier to comb out the lice thanks to its conditioning ingredients. Since Paranix® Head Lice Shampoo does not contain insecticides, lice do not develop resistance to it. Paranix® Head Lice Shampoo has been dermatologically tested.
Check for lice
Use the included thick comb to thoroughly check the hair of each family member, preferably in daylight. Treat the hair of all family members with lice on the same day to avoid reinfestation.
- It is easier to check dry hair.
- First of all, comb out the tangled hair, and then check it strand by strand.
- Check the roots of your hair, the areas behind your ears, and the back of your head, as these are where lice and nits are often found.
- Wash the comb thoroughly in warm, soapy water after each use to avoid reinfection.
Method of application
Step 1: Apply Paranix® Head Lice Treatment Shampoo
Shake the bottle before use. Apply a sufficient amount of Paranix® Head Lice Treatment Shampoo evenly to dry hair, avoiding the eye area. Make sure to completely cover the hair and scalp with a thick layer. Massage the hair well from roots to ends, paying special attention to the nape of the neck and behind the ears. 200 ml (ml) = up to 4 applications, depending on the length of the hair.
Step 2: Leave the product on your hair for 15 minutes
Leave the product on your hair for 15 minutes. This is very important for achieving the result.
Step 3: Remove lice and nits Before washing your hair, use a thick Paranix® comb to remove lice and nits.
- Comb wet hair with a thick Paranix® anti-lice comb.
- Divide your hair into 4 sections: from forehead to nape, and then from ear to ear. If your hair is long, you can braid each section.
- Work each section, separating small strands so that the scalp is visible.
- Comb each strand, starting as close to the scalp as possible.
- Use a comb to remove any lice and/or nits you find.
- Each strand of hair that does not have nits can be placed to one side.
- To avoid reinfection, clean the comb after each section with a cotton pad and always comb your hair from the roots to the ends.
Step 4: Add water and wash your hair
Wet your hair with plenty of water and lather well. Wash and rinse your hair thoroughly. Be sure to rinse the shampoo completely. Style your hair as usual. Don't forget to disinfect the environment. Disinfect clothes, bed linen, towels and other items (brushes, combs, etc.) that may have come into contact with the hair by heating them at 60°C. Vacuum your home and car and throw away the dust bag. You can also leave all items in a closed bag for 2-3 days, as lice cannot survive without food.
Important: Head lice cannot develop resistance to Paranix® Head Lice Shampoo, as it does not contain insecticides. However, people who have been treated can become infected again from other people (e.g. at school). Check dry hair for lice again after 7 days. Repeat the procedure if necessary. In this case, you can use Paranix® Head Lice Shampoo again without risk, as it will not lose its effectiveness.
