Composition

active ingredients: 1 g of paste contains: boric acid - 0.07 g; sodium tetraborate - 0.07 g; salicylic acid - 0.014 g; zinc oxide - 0.25 g; hexamethylenetetramine - 0.035 g; formaldehyde solution - 0.035 g; lead acetate - 0.003 g; peppermint oil - 0.003 g;

excipients: purified water, emulsifier No. 1, talc, glycerin.

Dosage form

Paste.

Main physicochemical properties: homogeneous mass of white color or with a slightly grayish tint, pleasant odor. During storage, liquid may appear on the surface of the preparation.

Pharmacodynamics

The properties of the drug are due to the active components that make up its composition. Boric acid and sodium tetraborate have an antiseptic effect, salicylic acid has an antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and keratoplastic effect; zinc oxide and lead acetate have an adsorbing, antimicrobial, astringent effect; hexamethylenetetramine and formaldehyde have a disinfecting, antimicrobial, antimycotic and deodorizing effect; menthol (which is a part of peppermint oil) has a cooling, vasodilating effect.

Indication

Mycoses of the feet, hyperhidrosis, diaper rash, increased sweating.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any components of the drug, chronic kidney disease, acute inflammatory diseases of the skin and adjacent tissues, damage to the skin at the site of application, spasmophilia, bronchial asthma.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

When used simultaneously with drugs for external use, new compounds with unpredictable effects may be formed.

Since the preparation contains salicylic acid, Teymurov Paste should not be combined with oral use of preparations containing acetylsalicylic acid and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use together with benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoids.

Salicylic acid may increase the skin permeability of other topical medications and thereby increase their absorption into the body. In addition, salicylic acid may enhance the undesirable effects of methotrexate and the hypoglycemic effects of oral antidiabetic drugs - sulfonylureas.

Application features

Teymurov paste should not be applied to large areas of the body, open wounds, scalp, or inflammatory skin diseases. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If the paste gets into the eyes, remove the paste with a gauze swab and rinse the eyes thoroughly with warm water.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate other mechanisms.

Method of administration and doses

The drug is intended for external use. Affected skin areas for adults and children over 14 years of age should be treated 2-3 times a day, applying the paste in a thin layer. It is not recommended to apply the drug to large areas of skin. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually and depends on the achieved effect and the course of the disease.

Children

Do not use in children under 14 years of age.

Overdose

With prolonged use of the drug on large surfaces, overdose symptoms are possible: headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, diarrhea, skin rashes. In these cases, the drug should be discontinued, detoxification and symptomatic therapy should be prescribed.

Adverse reactions

Headache, nausea, in severe cases - vomiting, confusion, dizziness, tinnitus, epigastric pain, acidosis, rapid breathing, diarrhea, oliguria; when applied to large areas of skin, renal failure may develop. Local reactions: irritation, pain, burning, dry skin. Allergic reactions are possible, including skin redness, rash, itching, urticaria, skin peeling, contact dermatitis, anaphylactic reactions, including shock, angioedema.

If any adverse reactions occur, you should stop using the medicine and consult a doctor.

Expiration date

1 year 6 months.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature of 2°C to 8°C.
