Medical device name (specification)
1. Luer Slip system for blood transfusion, blood substitutes and infusion solutions, disposable with metal spike "LC LASER CARE";
2. Luer Slip infusion solution infusion system, disposable with metal spike "LC LASER CARE".
Medical device description
The systems are disposable, sterile, pyrogenic, non-toxic. They have individual and transport packaging.
The system includes:
- transparent connecting tubes with a length of 1500 mm or more, made of polyvinyl chloride, which connect the system elements: a metal (plastic) spike for piercing the cork, a drip chamber with a microfilter, a roller infusion speed regulator, a latex node, a cone for connection;
- metal needle for air intake with a polypropylene air valve located in an individual cap;
- a metal needle with a triangular sharpening for venipuncture, located in an individual cap: in the system for infusion solutions - 21 G (0.8x40 mm); in the system for blood transfusion, blood substitutes - 18 G (1.2x40 mm). The systems have the following types of cone connections: 1) male Luer Slip - a type of connection in which a cannula port is put on the connection cone; 2) male Luer Lock - a type of connection in which a cannula port is screwed into the connection cone.
Method of application
- Check the integrity of the individual packaging and the expiration date. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or the expiration date has passed.
- Select the required type of system. Wash your hands thoroughly.
- Open the system package at the location marked “OPEN HERE.” Make sure the system is complete.
- Use immediately after opening the package.

- Fix the container with infusion fluid on the stand.
- Fill the drip chamber halfway with infusion fluid.
- Open the roller clamp and remove air from the system tubes.
- Close the roller clamp.
- Treat the skin surface with an antiseptic before performing venipuncture.
- Perform venipuncture after checking the patency of the needle with the injected solution.
- Set the required infusion rate with the roller clamp.
- After the infusion is complete, close the roller clamp, remove the needle from the skin, press the puncture site with a cotton swab moistened with antiseptic for 1-2 minutes. If necessary, apply a dry sterile bandage for 24 hours.
- If the infusion was performed through a peripheral or central venous catheter, after its completion, close the roller clamp, disconnect the system, inject 2-3 ml of heparinized saline through the catheter port and tightly close it with a cap.

Field of application of the medical product
1. The system for infusion of infusion solutions is mainly used for infusion of glucose, electrolyte solutions and amino acids for parenteral nutrition. The diameter of the microfilter cells is 15 microns, which allows the above solutions to pass through without hindrance and reliably cleans them from possible impurities, and provides a flow rate of 1000 ml/10m.
2. The system for blood transfusion, blood substitutes and infusion solutions is used mainly for the infusion of blood, its components and blood substitutes. The diameter of the microfilter cells is 200 microns, allowing the uniform elements of the blood to pass through without hindrance, preserving their integrity, but retaining microthrombi and other possible impurities.
3. Systems with a Luer Slip connection type are used mainly for short-term infusions through a metal needle, with a Luer Lock connection type - for longer infusions through a peripheral or central venous catheter.
4. Systems with a plastic spike are used for transferring infusion solutions from plastic bags, and with a metal spike - from plastic bags and glass containers.
Sterilization method
Sterilization is carried out with ethylene oxide.
Storage conditions
Store in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature of +5 °C to +40 °C.
