Syrup "Pectolvan A with forest berry flavor" is indicated for secretolytic therapy in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases, which are accompanied by disorders of bronchial secretion and weakening of mucus movement.
Composition
The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride (1 ml of the drug contains 3 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride).
Excipients: hydroxyethyl cellulose; sorbitol solution does not crystallize in terms of 100% substance (E 420); acesulfame potassium (E 950); glycerin; benzoic acid (E 210); forest berries flavoring; purified water.
Contraindication
Do not use in patients with hypersensitivity to ambroxol hydrochloride or other components of the drug; use in children under 2 years of age only as prescribed by a doctor.
Method of application
Unless otherwise prescribed, the recommended dose of the medicinal product "Pectolvan A with forest berry flavor" is as follows:
children under 2 years old - 2.5 ml 2 times a day (equivalent to 15 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day); children 2-5 years old - 2.5 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 22.5 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day); children 6-12 years old - 5 ml 2-3 times a day (equivalent to 30-45 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day); adults and children over 12 years old - 10 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 90 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day) for the first 2-3 days and then - 10 ml 2 times a day (equivalent to 60 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride per day).
If necessary, the therapeutic effect for adults and children over 12 years of age can be enhanced by increasing the dose to 20 ml 2 times a day (equivalent to 120 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride / day).
For adults and children over 12 years of age, it is recommended to use a syrup with a higher concentration ("Pectolvan A with strawberry flavor", syrup, 30 mg / 5 ml).
"Pectolvan A with forest berry flavor" can be used regardless of food intake. The dose of the medicinal product "Pectolvan A with forest berry flavor" can be measured using the dosing syringe provided.
In general, there are no restrictions on the duration of use, however, long-term therapy should be carried out under medical supervision.
This syrup should not be used for more than 4-5 days without consulting a doctor.
"Pectolvan A with forest berry flavor" is suitable for use in patients with diabetes (5 ml contains 1 g of carbohydrates).
Application features
Pregnant women
Ambroxol hydrochloride crosses the placental barrier. Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects on pregnancy, embryonal/fetal development, parturition or postnatal development. Clinical studies of the drug after the 28th week of pregnancy have not revealed any harmful effects on the fetus. However, the usual precautions for taking medications during pregnancy should be observed. In particular, the use of "Pectolvan A with forest berry flavor" is not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Ambroxol hydrochloride passes into breast milk. "Pectolvan A with forest berry flavor" is not recommended for use during breastfeeding.
Preclinical studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects on fertility.
Children
The drug can be used in pediatric practice. Children under 2 years of age should use it as prescribed by a doctor.
Drivers
There is no data on the effect on the reaction speed when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms. Studies have not been conducted.
Overdose
To date, there are no reports of specific symptoms of overdose. The symptoms described in isolated reports of overdose and / or cases of drug misuse correspond to the known side effects of ambroxol hydrochloride at recommended doses and require symptomatic treatment.
Side effects
Immune system disorders: Rare: hypersensitivity reactions; frequency unknown: anaphylactic reactions, including anaphylactic shock, angioedema and pruritus.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: rarely - rash, urticaria; frequency unknown - serious skin adverse reactions (including erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis).
From the nervous system: often - dysgeusia (taste disorder).
From the gastrointestinal tract: often - nausea, decreased sensitivity in the oral cavity; infrequently - vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, dry mouth; rarely - dry throat; very rarely - drooling.
From the respiratory system, chest organs and mediastinum: often - decreased sensitivity in the pharynx; frequency unknown - dyspnea (as a hypersensitivity reaction).
General disorders: infrequently - fever, mucous membrane reactions.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, out of the reach of children.
Shelf life - 2 years (after first opening of the primary packaging - 180 days).
