Instructions for use Pectolvan Ivy syrup bottle 100 ml
Composition
active ingredient:
1 ml of syrup contains common ivy leaf dry extract (Hederae helicis e folium) 7 mg ((4-8:1)), (extractant – ethanol 30%);
excipients: sodium citrate; citric acid, monohydrate; sorbitol (E 420); potassium sorbate; xanthan gum; food flavoring "Cherry 667" (solvent propylene glycol); purified water.
2.5 ml of syrup contains 963 mg of the sweetener sorbitol = 0.08 bread units.
Dosage form
Syrup.
Main physicochemical properties: clear light brown liquid with a cherry smell and sweet fruity taste, slight opalescence may appear.

Pharmacological properties
A herbal preparation. It contains dry ivy leaf extract, which has antitussive, expectorant, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects due to the glycosides (saponins) present in it.
Reduces the viscosity of sputum, facilitating its discharge.
Indication
Acute inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract accompanied by cough; symptomatic treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases of the bronchi.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or other plants of the Araliaceae family. Children under 2 years of age due to the risk of worsening respiratory symptoms. Fructose intolerance.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
No side effects of the drug were observed when Pectolvan® Ivy was used simultaneously with other drugs. Therefore, the drug can be used together with other drugs, for example, with antibiotics.
Application features
If the symptoms of the disease do not disappear or shortness of breath, fever, and purulent or bloody sputum appear when coughing, you should immediately consult a doctor.
Use in children 2-4 years old requires a doctor's recommendation.
Concomitant use with antitussives, such as codeine or dextromethorphan, is not recommended without consulting a doctor.
Use with caution in patients with gastritis or stomach ulcers.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
Due to the lack of sufficient data, the drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Method of administration and doses
Administer internally using the supplied dosing spoon.
Children aged 2 to 6 years - 2.5 ml 3 times a day.
Children aged 6 to 10 years - 5 ml 3 times a day.
Adults and children over 10 years old – 5-7.5 ml 3 times a day.
The syrup should be used morning, afternoon and evening. Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use!
The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually. In mild cases, the duration of treatment is 1 week. To achieve a stable therapeutic effect, it is recommended to continue therapy for another 2-3 days after the patient's condition improves.
If the patient's condition does not improve, a doctor should be consulted for further treatment.
Children
Contraindicated in children under 2 years of age due to the risk of worsening respiratory symptoms.
Overdose
Taking the drug in large quantities, exceeding three times the daily dose, may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and agitation. Treatment is symptomatic.
Adverse reactions
The drug is usually well tolerated, but sometimes gastrointestinal disorders (including diarrhea, nausea, vomiting), abdominal pain, allergic reactions (angioedema, skin rash, urticaria, itching), shortness of breath, couperose, dyspnea may develop.
If any adverse reactions occur, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.
Expiration date
2 years.
The shelf life after opening the bottle is 90 days.
Do not use the drug after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
