General properties
Pelvidol is a dietary supplement based on alpha-lipoic acid and magnesium. It is used as an additional source of alpha-lipoic acid and magnesium in obstetric-gynecological, neurological and therapeutic clinical practice, in conditions with pronounced pain, inflammatory and spastic symptoms.
Alpha-lipoic acid, also known as thioctic acid, is a fatty acid that is physiologically produced in the body and is present in many foods, although its absorption is often impaired due to food intolerance and poor diet. It is one of the most powerful physiological antioxidants, and as such, helps restore intracellular antioxidants (glutathione). In the gynecological aspect, the antioxidant action of alpha-lipoic acid may be useful in counteracting oxidative processes associated with increased uterine contractility.
In addition, scientific studies have proven the effectiveness of alpha-lipoic acid in reducing the weakening of amniochorionic membranes that occurs due to various inflammatory processes.
Magnesium is necessary for the body's electrolyte balance and participates in the process of cell division. A full intake of magnesium contributes to the reduction of fatigue and irritability, normal energy metabolism, normal functioning of the psychological system, musculoskeletal, nervous and muscular systems. In particular, acting as a calcium antagonist, magnesium induces an antispasmodic effect on the uterine muscle.
Pelvidol is used in cases of oxidative stress, primary dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, to maintain the uterus in the passive phase throughout the entire period of pregnancy and in all cases of increased risk of uterine contractile activity (invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures: chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, cordo both separately and in combination with analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs and/or as a muscle relaxant.
Method of administration and doses
1 tablet per day, washed down with a glass of water.

Storage conditions
Store in a dry place, protected from light, localized heat sources and direct sunlight at a temperature of 5°C to 25°C (at a relative humidity of <50%). Do not store in damp areas such as kitchens or bathrooms. The minimum shelf life is guaranteed if the product is stored correctly in the packaging.
