- Impurity-free chicken egg subshell (PEM) 300 mg (mg)
- Sweet martinia (Harpagophytum procumbens) extract 110 mg (mg)
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa) extract 50 mg (mg)
- Collagen type II undenatured 40 mg (mg).
Properties
The unadulterated subshell of a chicken egg (REM) contains naturally occurring glycosaminoglycans and proteins, including type I collagen, which are essential for maintaining healthy joint and connective tissue.
Type I collagen is a component of tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, and skin. Glycosaminoglycans such as dermatan sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid, and glucosamine are essential for maintaining a healthy musculoskeletal system. The biologically active substance is a source of proteins, including ovotransferrin, lysozyme, and elastin; contains the enzyme lysyl oxidase. It is also able to support the production of type II collagen, which is a component of cartilage and affects the production of synovial fluid. Helps maintain cartilage health and provides protection against cartilage wear.
Harpagophytum procumbens is a perennial flowering plant of the genus Harpagophytum, family Pedaliaceae, which is known for its beneficial properties. Traditionally, an extract from the roots of Harpagophytum procumbens is used, the characteristic components of which are iridoid glycosides (mainly harpagoside, harpagid, procumbide), phenolic glycosides (acteoside (verbascoside) and isoacteoside), sugars (mainly the tetrasaccharide stachyose), triterpenoids (mainly oleic and ursolic acids), phytosterols (primarily beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol), aromatic acids (caffeic, cinnamic and chlorogenic), flavonoids (luteolin and kaempferol). Traditionally used for degenerative-dystrophic changes in the joints, as a chondroprotector to prevent joint damage during intense loads (sports, heavy work). Chondroprotective properties are due to the action of active substances that inhibit the formation of cartilage destruction mediators, such as interleukins (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α); inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases.
Curcuma longa is a perennial herbaceous plant of the genus Curcuma, of the family Zingiberaceae, commonly known as turmeric. The rhizome of turmeric contains a significant complex of biologically active substances: flavonoids - curcuminoids (among which the most pharmacologically valuable is curcumin, the content of which is 75–90% of the content of all curcuminoids), essential oils (turmerone, zingiberene), macro- and microelements (iron, manganese, copper, zinc, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium), proteins, carbohydrates. Curcumin exhibits the ability to eliminate free radicals of active oxygen species, has antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial (Staphylococcus aureus), antifungal, hepatoprotective properties. Turmeric rhizome extract is used to improve digestion, neutralize inflammatory processes in the joints, slow down the formation of osteoclasts in bone tissue, and protect cartilage from degenerative changes.
Type II collagen (undenatured) is the basis of cartilage, vitreous humor, and is important for the formation of connective tissue. Once in the intestine, type II collagen interacts with Peyer's patches, which are the site of induction of the immune response in the intestine through the activation of T cells capable of secreting anti-inflammatory cytokines, preventing T-cell attacks on type II collagen in the joints. Inclusion of this active component in the diet can cause an increase in the synthesis of macromolecules of the intercellular substance of cartilage tissue by chondrocytes. Undenatured type II collagen can be effective in restoring and maintaining joint function in the presence of signs of degradation, improving their mobility and flexibility, reducing discomfort and restoring joint function in healthy people.
