Pharmacological properties

It has antispasmodic, diuretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, has antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, regulates mineral metabolism. Phytolith reduces the frequency and intensity of renal colic, normalizes the physicochemical parameters of urine, leads to the restoration of optimal urodynamics and urine homeostasis, reduces leukocyturia. promotes the washing out of sand and small stones, prevents the increase or appearance of new stones. These properties provide a comprehensive therapeutic and prophylactic effect of the drug on pathophysiological processes in the kidneys and urinary tract in urolithiasis.

Phytolith Forte has a positive effect on spermatogenesis under conditions of experimental prostatitis (increased sperm concentration and time of their mobility, percentage of motile forms, reduced number of pathologically altered spermatozoa, increased acid and osmotic resistance).

Indication

Phytolith: treatment and prevention of urolithiasis. the presence of primary and recurrent calculi of various sizes and locations in the kidneys and ureters; complications caused by the passage of stone fragments after shock wave lithotripsy; renal colic; uric and oxalic acid diathesis. For the purpose of prevention, Phytolith is also used after surgical removal of stones and/or their spontaneous passage.

Application

In the presence of calculi, Phytolith is prescribed before meals, 2-3 tablets 3 times a day. The duration of the course of treatment is 20-30 days. Treatment is carried out in repeated courses, the number of which is determined individually depending on the patient's condition. In order to prevent recurrent stone formation in the kidneys and ureters after shock wave lithotripsy, Phytolith is prescribed 2-3 tablets 3 times a day for 5-15 days, and after surgical removal of stones and / or their spontaneous passage - 2-3 tablets 3 times a day for 1-2 months. In acute renal colic, Phytolith is prescribed after eliminating the pain syndrome with painkillers. In the presence of severe pyuria in patients with urolithiasis, additional use of antimicrobial agents is indicated.

Contraindication

Phytolith. nephritis, pregnancy.

Side effects

Phytolith is usually well tolerated, mild dyspeptic symptoms such as nausea and discomfort in the epigastric region are possible. In these cases, the drug should not be canceled, it is recommended to take it after meals.

Special instructions

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Children. The drug is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.

The effect of the drug on the reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms is unknown.
