Composition

active ingredient: 1 packet contains plantaglucid 1 g;

excipient: refined sugar.

Dosage form

Granules for oral solution.

Pharmacodynamics

The remedy is of plant origin, is a preparation made from plantain leaves, contains a mixture of polysaccharides.

It enhances the secretion of gastric juice, increases its acidity. It has anti-inflammatory, astringent and antiseptic effects.

Indication

Hypoacid gastritis (treatment and prevention of relapses); digestive disorders caused by low acidity of gastric juice.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; hyperacid gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, reflux esophagitis.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Do not use simultaneously with antitussives and drugs that reduce sputum production.

Antacids and H2-histamine receptor blockers reduce the effectiveness of the drug.

Application features

If the patient has been diagnosed with an intolerance to some sugars, consult a doctor before taking this medicine. Due to the presence of refined sugar, the medicine may be harmful to the teeth.

Since the drug contains refined sugar, this should be taken into account by patients with diabetes.

Method of administration and doses

Take orally 20-30 minutes before meals, diluting in ¼ cup of warm water before taking.

Adults and children over 12 years of age should use 1 packet 2–3 times a day.

Children aged 6 to 12 years – ½ packet 2–3 times a day.

The duration of treatment during an exacerbation of gastritis is 3-4 weeks.

To prevent relapses, the drug should be used in the same doses 1–2 times a day for 1–2 months.

The course and duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Overdose

Overdose may increase side effects.
