Composition

Active ingredient:

Lactobacillus plantarum CECT 7485 and Lactobacillus brevis CECT 7480 (equivalent to a total of 1x109 colony-forming units CFU (CFU) of probiotic strains of microorganisms) - 50 mg (mg).

Composition (per 1 capsule): filler - maltodextrin; active ingredient - Lactobacillus plantarum CECT 7485 and Lactobacillus brevis CECT 7480; capsule shell - hypromellose (E464); anti-caking agents - magnesium stearate (E470b); dye - titanium dioxide (E171).

Recommendations for use

It can be recommended in dietary diets as an additional source of microbiota - the normal microflora of the human intestine. Plantarum is a probiotic with an innovative composition containing probiotic strains of microorganisms that have been specially selected for their beneficial properties to improve mental activity (improving memory and the thinking process) and mental health in conditions such as stress, anxiety, and depression.

Plantarum strains of live microorganisms are a component of a bidirectional communication system – the “microbiota-gut-brain axis”, which integrates neural, endocrine, metabolic and immunological signals between the gut and the brain.

The Lactobacillus brevis Plantarum strain CECT 7480 was specifically selected for its ability to produce the neurotransmitters GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) and dopamine. GABA is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter that regulates emotional processes - anxiety and depression. Dopamine is actively involved in the processes of reward, motivation and learning, concentration and attention.

The Lactobacillus plantarum CECT 7485 strain was specifically selected for its ability to produce acetylcholine and polyphosphate granules, which enhance barrier function and reduce inflammation in the intestinal epithelium.

It has been shown that 12 weeks of Lactobacillus plantarum supplementation affects neurotransmitter levels in the gut and reduces pro-inflammatory cytokine levels in plasma. As assessed by the DASS-42 (Depression Anxiety Stress Scales), symptoms of stress, anxiety, and general psychological symptoms were reduced in stressed adults compared to the placebo group. This was accompanied by reduced plasma levels of cortisol (the stress hormone).

Reservation

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. It is not recommended to use "Plantarum" in case of hypersensitivity to any of its components. Pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with suppressed immunity should consult a doctor before use. "Plantarum" should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet.

Method of application

Adults should take 1 capsule daily after meals with plenty of water. It is recommended to consult a doctor before use.

Recommended period of use:

3 months, further duration of consumption is agreed with the doctor.
