Pharmacological properties

The herb erva woolly (pol-pala) contains flavonoids, polysaccharides, mucus, organic acids, tannins, coumarins, and saponins.

Erva woolly preparations exhibit a saluretic and diuretic effect, which is accompanied by an increase in the excretion of sodium and calcium ions and a decrease in the urea content in blood plasma.

Indications for use

As part of complex therapy for inflammatory diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract (chronic pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis), uric acid diathesis (initial stages of urolithiasis), as well as as a diuretic for diabetic nephropathy, arterial hypertension and edema of various origins.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the drug. Osteoporosis; diseases accompanied by increased excretion of Ca2+ (including rickets, hypoparathyroidism, renal osteodystrophy). The presence of stones exceeding the diameter of the ureter.

Method of administration and doses

Place 2 tablespoons of the herb in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water. Adults take 1/4-1/2 cup warm 2-3 times a day 15-20 minutes before meals. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.

Store the prepared water extract in the refrigerator (at a temperature of 2-8 ° C) for no more than 2 days.

The course of treatment is 10-30 days.
