Pharmacological properties

A special combination of active ingredients provides a significant reduction in pain in a short time. The local anesthetic lidocaine relieves pain, burning and itching. Lidocaine has an average strength and duration of action and a rapid onset of action compared to other local anesthetics. Bismuth has an astringent effect, which reduces the tendency to bleed. Damaged tissues are protected from further irritation, their surface is not moistened. The inflammation inhibitor bufexamac promotes healing and restoration of a healthy mucous membrane. The drug reduces the severity of hemorrhoidal pain and hemorrhoids. The act of defecation is easier and less painful. The suppository base used in the drug protects the wound surface and facilitates defecation.

When bufexamac is administered rectally in suppositories, the plasma concentration determined was 0.2 mg/ml. Lidocaine is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and through mucous membranes or damaged skin.

Indication

Hemorrhoids of the first and second degree, anal fissures (acute anal fissures), acute and chronic eczema of the anus, inflammatory processes in the anus and rectum (proctitis).

Application

Before starting treatment, you should consult a doctor.

Insert 1 suppository into the anus 2 times a day, if possible after a bowel movement. After the condition improves, 1 suppository per day is sufficient. The drug is used until the severity of acute manifestations decreases.

Treatment with the drug lasts no more than 7 days. For long-term treatment, drugs that do not contain local anesthetics should be used.

If the signs of the disease do not disappear or your health condition worsens, or you experience undesirable effects, you should consult a doctor for advice on further treatment.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, specific skin processes at the site of application (syphilis, tuberculosis), contact allergic reactions and atopic dermatitis in history.

Also, areas of the skin that were not subject to treatment may be susceptible to these reactions. In rare cases, these symptoms may be clearly expressed.
