Graminex® G63® is a rye grass pollen extract. The rye used to produce the pollen extract is grown in Ohio fields without the use of pesticides and herbicides. No GMOs are used in the production process of G63, and the quality of the product is controlled at all stages of production. This technology allows you to obtain the extract without the use of solvents. The extract has a strong antiproliferative activity - it inhibits the growth of prostate cells, anti-inflammatory effect - it suppresses the development of the inflammatory reaction by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes; and also has an antispasmodic effect on smooth muscle cells.

Due to these properties, rye grass and flower pollen are used to relieve symptoms of chronic prostatitis (including chronic pelvic pain syndrome) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (nocturia, difficulty urinating, pelvic pain, increased urinary frequency, and increased residual volume).

Clinical placebo-controlled studies have shown that taking the extract for 3-6 months led to restoration of urodynamics, reduction of pain, and improvement in quality of life.

Pygeum africanum is an extract of the bark of the African plum. It contains a number of components that have a positive effect on the condition of patients with prostate cancer. When using Pygeum africanum, the activity of the enzyme 5α-reductase is suppressed, pathological proliferation of fibroblasts is improved, which improves the histological architecture of the prostate, and normal secretory function is restored. Ferulic acid esters reduce the concentration of cholesterol in the prostate gland, limiting the synthesis of testosterone. Phytosterols contained in Pygeum africanum compete with androgen precursors and inhibit the biosynthesis of prostaglandins. Oleanolic and ursolic acids have anti-inflammatory activity in the tissues of the pre-ureteral gland.

Beta-sitosterol is a sterol found in almost all plants and is very similar in composition to cholesterol. Unlike cholesterol, beta-sitosterol cannot be converted to testosterone, but it inhibits aromatase and 5-alpha reductase. Randomized trials have shown the benefit of beta-sitosterol in the treatment of BPH.

Zinc is an important trace element for the human body. Changes in its concentration in men are observed in diseases of the prostate gland. It has been established that the level of zinc affects its morphometric parameters. It is known that the intestinal absorption of zinc is inhibited by estrogen.
