Composition
active ingredients: hawthorn tincture, motherwort tincture, valerian tincture, peony tincture; 1 ml of drops contains: hawthorn tincture (Crataegi tincturae) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 70%) – 0.25 ml; motherwort tincture (Leonuri tincturae) (1:5) (extractant – ethanol 70%) – 0.25 ml; valerian tincture (Valerianae tincturae) (1:5) (extractant – ethanol 70%) – 0.25 ml; peony tincture (Paeoniae tincturae) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 40%) – 0.25 ml; excipients: none, except for the extractant.

Main physical and chemical properties: liquid from brown to brown-yellow color with a specific odor. During storage, sediment formation is allowed.

Pharmacodynamics
Cardiological and sedative. The therapeutic effect of the drug is due to the action of a complex of biologically active substances of hawthorn fruits, motherwort herb, valerian roots, grass, rhizomes with roots of the unusual peony.
Biologically active substances contained in hawthorn fruits (flavonoids, choline, acetylcholine, tannins, phytosterols, triterpenic acids) have hypotensive, antispasmodic, antianginal properties, exhibit a moderate cardiotonic and cardioprotective effect; enhance blood circulation in the coronary vessels and in the vessels of the brain, increase the sensitivity of the myocardium to the action of cardiac glycosides, slightly enhance the contraction of the heart muscle and at the same time reduce its excitability.
Biologically active substances contained in motherwort herb (steroidal and flavonoid glycosides, stahydrin, essential oil, saponins, tannins, alkaloids) reduce excitation processes in the central nervous system, exhibit a moderate anxiolytic, hypotensive effect, promote the onset of physiological sleep, and also enhance the effects of other sedatives and hypnotics.
Biologically active substances contained in valerian roots (borneol and isovaleric acid ester, borneol, isovaleric acid, alkaloids, tannins, sugars) reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, reduce tension and irritability during mental overload and mental fatigue, exhibit sedative, hypnotic, anxiolytic, vasodilator and antispasmodic properties, enhance the effect of other drugs that have a depressing effect on the CNS, namely sedatives, hypnotics, tranquilizers. In addition, biologically active substances of valerian exhibit choleretic effects, slow down the heart rate, dilate the coronary vessels of the heart, and enhance the secretory activity of the gastric mucosa.
Biologically active substances contained in the grass, rhizomes with roots of the peony unusual (phenols, tannins, organic acids, glycosides) increase the body's resistance to hypoxia, exhibit anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, anticonvulsant, antimicrobial effects, and have the ability to increase stomach acidity.

Indication
For functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia), as well as as an auxiliary drug for mild forms of heart rhythm disorders (atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal tachycardia) and in the initial stages of arterial hypertension.
As a sedative for functional disorders of the central nervous system (increased emotional excitability, irritability, neurotic states of various genesis, vegetoneurosis, insomnia).
Contraindication
History of alcoholism; simultaneous use of drugs containing alcohol; depression and other disorders accompanied by central nervous system depression; severe hypotension and bradycardia; gastric and duodenal ulcers; cirrhosis of the liver; pregnancy or breastfeeding; hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
The drug may potentiate the pharmacological effects of tranquilizers, neuroleptics, sedatives, hypnotics, analgesics, antihypertensive drugs and cardiac glycosides, and also enhances the effects of alcohol.
Use with alkaloid salts is not recommended due to the possibility of negative complexes formation. Simultaneous use of the drug with antacids should be avoided.
The drug should not be used together with third-generation antiarrhythmic drugs, as well as with cisapride.
Damage to the intestinal flora by antibiotics may affect the enzymatic transformations of peony aglycones and reduce the effectiveness of treatment.
The doctor should be informed about the simultaneous use of any other medications.
Application features
The drug should be shaken before use.
During the period of use of the drug, you should refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages.
The drug is not recommended to be taken during meals to avoid interaction with food components.
It is not recommended for long-term use, as the drug contains ethanol and is harmful to patients with alcoholism.
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver disease and epilepsy.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
It is contraindicated to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

The drug is prescribed internally to adults 20-30 drops 3 times a day before meals.

Overdose
If the recommended doses are significantly exceeded, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, bradycardia, decreased blood pressure, general weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, decreased hearing and vision, palpitations, mental agitation, and manifestations of hypersensitivity may occur, which require discontinuation of the drug and symptomatic therapy (gastric lavage, sorbents).
