Dr.Proctogel is a probiotic product for rectal care for external use in the treatment of hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and inflammation.

Properties

Rectal gel with probiotics Dr. PROCTO is a product based on a combination of spore-forming probiotic bacteria of the genus Bacillus spp., panthenol, and escin, which contribute to the harmonious restoration and improvement of the condition of the delicate skin of the perianal area and the mucous membrane of the anal sphincter after irritation and microtrauma.

The gel is recommended for daily care of hemorrhoids, anal fissures and proctitis; to eliminate discomfort after irritation due to chronic constipation, exposure to unfavorable hygienic conditions, excessive physical exertion, including after childbirth.

The complex of probiotic components SPP (Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus pumilus) has a systemic effect on the skin around the anus and the mucous membrane of the rectum, which combines the normalization of microflora, reduction of irritation and promotion of mucosal restoration in places of microcracks. After applying Dr.PROCTO gel, Bacillus spp. strains multiply rapidly and form a probiotic biofilm, which performs a protective function on the skin around the anus and on the mucous membrane of the rectum.

The complex of probiotic components SPP helps reduce inflammatory processes by strengthening nonspecific and specific immunity, the barrier function of the mucous membrane. They have a local regenerating effect on the mucous membrane of the rectum.

Dexpanthenol stimulates the restoration of the mucous membrane, prevents the appearance of cracks, normalizes cellular metabolism, and has a regenerating effect on mechanical damage.

Escin is a natural mixture of triterpene saponins obtained from the seeds of horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum L.), which have anti-edematous, venotonic properties. Escin reduces the activity of lysosomal enzymes that break down proteoglycans contained in the capillary walls. This increases the resistance of capillaries, reduces their permeability, thereby reducing the amount of exudate and the formation of edema.
