Properties
Arginine is an amino acid that participates in protein biosynthesis, urea metabolism, promotes the excretion of protein breakdown end products, and enhances the detoxification function of the liver.
Arginine is the basis for the enzyme NO synthetase, which catalyzes the synthesis of nitric oxide in vascular endothelial cells. Increased production of NO leads to dilation (expansion) of peripheral vessels and a decrease in total peripheral resistance, which lowers blood pressure and reduces oxygen starvation of various tissues, especially the heart (myocardium), and also improves blood circulation in peripheral vessels and oxygen delivery to the brain. Arginine prevents the formation of endothelin - a substance that has a powerful vasoconstrictor effect and stimulates the division of smooth muscle cells of the vascular wall.
Arginine helps maintain nitrogen balance, remove final toxic nitrogen, has an antioxidant effect, normalizes microcirculation in the liver, saturates it with oxygen, improves hepatoportal hemodynamics. Arginine also improves intracellular metabolism in hepatocytes, stimulates their activity, reduces the formation of free radicals harmful to liver cells, reduces hypoxia and inflammation, and promotes hepatocyte regeneration.
Betaine is a lipotropic substance that participates in the biosynthesis of phospholipids, triglyceride transport, oxidation and utilization of fats. It prevents and reduces fatty liver. Betaine has antifibrotic, anti-inflammatory effects, prevents the risk of thrombosis and the progression of atherosclerosis. Betaine helps to increase performance, endurance during physical exertion and reduces general weakness and fatigue. Since betaine can function as a methyl group donor, a betaine diet can improve women's reproductive health by reducing homocysteine levels.
Isoleucine is one of the amino acids, the L-isomer, which is part of proteins. It is a non-polar amino acid. It is encoded by three codons. It is found in all organisms in a free state and in proteins and is an indispensable component of food. It is metabolized in muscle tissue. It is an amino acid that regulates blood sugar levels, affects energy storage, and is necessary in the diet of athletes, as it stimulates the regeneration of muscle tissue and increases its elasticity. It is also needed for many mental illnesses. A deficiency of this amino acid in the body leads to symptoms similar to hypoglycemia.
Citrate ions, which promote the digestive process with increased stomach acidity, help reduce acidosis and dyspeptic symptoms (nausea, feeling of heaviness in the stomach, flatulence), which are often observed in liver diseases.
Retril is a source of the amino acids L-arginine, betaine, and isoleucine, which have cardioprotective, antihypoxic, neuroprotective, cytoprotective, tonic, hepatoprotective, antiasthenic, and detoxifying effects on the body.
Indications for use
A dietary supplement can be recommended as part of a set of measures or on its own, contributing to:
- improving heart function in the complex treatment of coronary heart disease, hypertension, atherosclerosis;
- improving muscle function, especially in athletes;
- improvement of liver function in hepatitis, hepatosis, cirrhosis, steatohepatitis, hepatic encephalopathy;
- increasing immunity, improving appetite or reducing symptoms of fatigue and lethargy caused by stress, trauma, viral infections, increased physical activity, and malnutrition (protein metabolism);
- dilation of blood vessels, normalization of blood pressure, increases oxygen saturation of the heart muscle, improves peripheral blood circulation;
- thanks to its vasodilating effect, it helps protect the cardiovascular system;
- supports endothelial function, improving the production of nitric oxide, reducing the risk of blood clots;
- normal homocysteine metabolism;
- Improve sexual function in men.
Dosage and use
Adults:
1-3 vials per day after meals or as recommended by a doctor. Dissolve the contents of 1 vial in ½ glass of water and drink.
For children aged 3 years and older:
on the recommendation of a doctor, due to the need for amino acids in acetonemic syndrome - take 2 vials per day (morning and evening). Dilute the contents of the vial in ½ glass of drinking water (100 ml) and take 1 teaspoon every 10-15 minutes.
The recommended period of use is 3-4 weeks. Further periods of use are in consultation with a doctor.
Reservation
Do not use in case of individual hypersensitivity to the components of the dietary supplement.
Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, exacerbation of gallstone and urolithiasis, diabetes mellitus.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage for daily use.
A dietary supplement should not be used as a substitute for a complete diet.

Daily consumption of more than 4 g of betaine can significantly increase blood cholesterol levels.
