Composition

active ingredient: calami rhizome (Calami rhizomata);

Dosage form

Rhizomes.

Main physicochemical properties: pieces of rhizomes of various shapes. The color is yellowish or pink, sometimes greenish with yellowish-brown, reddish-brown or brown inclusions.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Biologically active substances of the drug, acting on the endings of taste receptors, increase appetite, improve digestion, enhance the reflex secretion of gastric juice, enhance the bile-secreting function of the liver, increase the tone of the gallbladder, increase diuresis; exhibit tonic, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, choleretic, antispasmodic, antibacterial and disinfectant effects.

Indication

Nonspecific disorders of the digestive tract (lack of appetite, digestive and secretory disorders of the stomach, achilli, intestinal colic, flatulence) - as part of complex therapy. Inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Increased acidity of gastric juice.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

Reduces the effectiveness of antacids, H2-receptor blockers (ranitidine, famotidine).

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Not installed. Use with caution.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Contraindicated.

Method of administration and doses

Place 1 tablespoon of rhizomes in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained decoction. Bring the volume of the decoction to 200 ml with boiled water. Take warm 3–4 times a day 30 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old – ¼ cup, children 12–14 years old – 2 tablespoons, 7–12 years old – 1 tablespoon. Shake the decoction before taking.

Use the prepared decoction in diluted form (2–3 times with water) to rinse the mouth and throat.

Place 3 filter bags in a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, close and let stand for 15–20 minutes. Take warm 3–4 times a day 30 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old – ½ cup, children 12–14 years old – ¼ cup, 7–12 years old – 2 tablespoons. Use the prepared infusion to rinse the mouth and throat.

Store the prepared water extract at a temperature of 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

Children

The drug should be used in children over 7 years of age.

Expiration date

3 years when packaged in packs, 2 years in filter bags. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
