Composition

active ingredient: liquid extract from rhizomes with roots of Rhodiola rosea (Rhodiola radix);

1 bottle of the drug contains a liquid extract from rhizomes with roots of Rhodiola rosea (Rhodiolae radix) (1:1) (extractant – ethanol 40%) 25 ml or 50 ml.

Dosage form

The extract is liquid.

Main physicochemical properties: dark brown liquid with a characteristic aroma.

Pharmacological properties

Liquid rhodiola extract belongs to the group of tonics, characterized by adaptogenic properties due to the content in rhizomes with roots of organic acids, tannins, beta-sitosterol, two crystalline substances: n-oxyphenyl-β-ethanol n-tyrosine and its glycoside n-oxyphenyl-β-(β-α glucopyranoside)-ethanol rhodioliside.

The drug increases the body's resistance to adverse factors (hypocooling, overheating, oxygen starvation, various stresses), reduces mental stress, increases mental and physical performance by optimizing energy processes and stimulating the functions of the central nervous system. Experimental data on the antiarrhythmic effect of liquid rhodiola extract have been obtained.

Not studied.

Indication

Asthenic conditions, increased fatigue, neurasthenia, vegetative-vascular dystonia, convalescence period, decreased working capacity.

Contraindication

Arterial hypertension, fever, hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy, breastfeeding, children's age (up to 18 years).

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

The drug may enhance the effects of monoamine oxidase inhibitors and other psychostimulants.

Application features

Rhodiola liquid extract is not recommended to be taken in the afternoon to prevent insomnia, and the drug is prescribed with caution to people with cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Contraindicated.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Method of administration and doses

The drug is used internally by adults 5–10 drops 2–3 times a day 10 minutes before meals. For asthenia, in psychiatric practice, initially 10 drops are prescribed 2–3 times a day, gradually increasing the dose to 30–40 drops per dose. Duration of treatment is 1–2 months.

Children

Do not prescribe to children (under 18 years of age).

Overdose

To date, there have been no reports of overdose. Excessive excitability is possible, in which case it is recommended to discontinue the drug.

Side effects

From the side of the central nervous system: increased excitability, insomnia, headache.

Cardiovascular system: increased blood pressure.

There are possible cases of hypersensitivity to the drug, in which case desensitization therapy is necessary.

Laboratory tests: hypoglycemia.

5 years.

Do not use the drug after the expiration date indicated on the package.
