RIBOLISIN® free is an isotonic ophthalmic solution optimized for the protection and restoration of corneal structures after various types of surgical interventions and diagnostic procedures.
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) provides high protection of the epithelium from various types of stress, protects the eye from the blue spectrum of light and UV radiation, including during crosslinking operations. Participates in various biochemical reactions and plays a key role in the development and maintenance of epithelial cells and corneal stroma, since the lack of riboflavin leads to a decrease in the number of keratocytes, the density of the extracellular matrix and the connections between collagen fibers. Riboflavin is important in the energy processes of cells, is a cofactor of enzymatic reactions that improve the efficiency of amino acid absorption. Allows you to maintain the physiological state of the stroma.
The amino acids that make up RIBOLISIN® free provide substrates for new cell divisions and extracellular matrix synthesis. In particular, lysine and leucine are essential for the structural stability of collagen in the stroma. Amino acids improve the trophism of the eye surface and prevent inflammatory and irritant reactions.
L-proline is one of the components of collagen protein – the basis of all tissues in the human body. It maintains the connective tissues of the eye sclera, cornea and blood vessels in a normal state.
L-glycine is a central neurotransmitter of inhibitory action, improves metabolic processes. Enhances the production of GABA. Has a positive effect on muscular dystrophies.
L-lysine is involved in collagen synthesis, namely in the formation of collagen fibrils, which is important for corneal healing. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, analgesic effects, increases vascular tone and phagocyte function, activates cellular and humoral immunity, and the processes of biosynthesis of amino acids, their precursors and metabolites.
L-leucine is an essential amino acid that participates in protein synthesis, completes the regeneration process, and is responsible for corneal transparency.
Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide, has mucoadhesive and viscoelastic effects, the ability to adhere to the cells of the eye surface, thereby protecting, lubricating and moisturizing them. Reduces tear osmolarity, normalizes the secretion of meibomian glands, improves the stability of the tear film and creates a favorable microenvironment for the processes of re-epithelialization, restoration of the ocular surface in cases of corneal and conjunctival damage. Promotes the retention of the active components of the drug on the surface of the eye and prolongs the contact time of the active molecules with the structures of the eye, increasing their bioavailability.
Boric acid - provides an antiseptic effect, has buffering properties and is used as a pH regulator in ophthalmic solutions.
Indications for use
- Degenerative changes of the cornea: keratoconus, keratoglobus, etc.
- Eye injuries and burns.
- Diagnostic and any surgical interventions on the anterior segment of the eye
- Dystrophic changes of the cornea.
Method of application
Adults: 1 drop in the conjunctival sac 4 times a day.
Children: 1 drop 4 times a day under the supervision of a doctor. There are no age restrictions if the drug is prescribed by a doctor.
After instillation, close your eyes for 1-2 minutes and do not blink.
Side effects
May cause short-term burning, temporary blurred vision. In case of any adverse reaction, discontinue use of the solution and consult a doctor.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug or to other chemically related substances.
Reservation
The solution is intended for external ophthalmic use.
The solution is sterile until the vial is opened.
Do not use the solution if the vial is damaged.
To prevent contamination of the solution, close the bottle tightly after use and do not touch the tip of the dispenser to your eye or other objects.
If the medical device is used simultaneously with other ophthalmic drugs, a doctor should be consulted.
Contact lenses must be removed before using the solution.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C out of the reach of children.

Expiration date
2 years.
From the moment of first application of the solution, the product can be used for no more than 3 months.
Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the bottle label.
