Ritosse Ivy - a remedy used for coughs and colds. Expectorant.
Indications for use
Acute inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract accompanied by cough; chronic inflammatory diseases of the bronchi - symptomatic treatment.Warehouse
1 ml of syrup contains 7 mg of dry ivy leaf extract (Extr. Hederae helicis e folium spir. sicc. ((4–8): 1), (extractant: ethanol 30%); excipients: potassium sorbate; citric acid monohydrate; non-crystallizing liquid sorbitol; xanthan gum; purified water; 1 ml of syrup contains 550 mg of the sweetener sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.04 bread units.Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the active substance, plants of the Araliaceae family, or to any other component of the medicinal product. Fructose intolerance.
Method of application
Ritosse® Ivy, syrup, should be taken orally, measuring the dose using the measuring spoon provided. Children aged 1 to 6 years – 2.5 ml 2 times a day, children aged 6 to 12 years – 5 ml 2 times a day, adults and children aged 12 years and over – 5 ml 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening).
The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor individually. In uncomplicated cases, the duration of treatment is 1 week. To achieve a stable therapeutic effect, it is recommended to continue therapy for another 2–3 days after the patient's condition improves.
Shake the syrup thoroughly before each use!
If the patient's condition does not improve, a doctor should be consulted for further treatment.
Application features
Children under 2 years of age should take Ritosse® Ivy, syrup, only under the close supervision of a physician in a hospital setting.
A persistent or recurrent cough in children under 4 years of age requires medical diagnosis before treatment. If symptoms persist or if shortness of breath, fever, chills, or purulent or bloody sputum is present, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
Concomitant use with antitussive drugs, such as codeine or dextromethorphan, without consulting a doctor is not recommended.
Use with caution in patients with gastritis or stomach ulcer.
Important information about excipients.
This medicine contains potassium compounds. Caution should be exercised when used in patients with reduced kidney function or those on a low-potassium diet.
Ritosse® Ivy Syrup contains sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
Pregnant women
Due to the lack of research data, this medicine should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Children
Ritosse® Ivy, syrup, is used in children over 1 year of age. Children under 2 years of age are given the medicine under the close supervision of a physician in a hospital setting.
Drivers
The drug does not affect the reaction speed when driving or working with other mechanisms.
Overdose
The use of doses exceeding the recommended ones may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or anxiety. Treatment is symptomatic.
Side effects
Very rarely (less than 1 case per 10,000), a laxative effect may occur (due to the sorbitol content), as well as allergic reactions: shortness of breath, swelling of the mucous membranes, skin rash, urticaria, itching.
Patients with hypersensitivity may experience gastrointestinal disturbances, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
Storage conditions
Store in original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children.
During storage, slight clouding and a slight change in the taste of the syrup may occur, which does not affect the therapeutic properties of the medicinal product.
