Composition

active ingredient: sage leaves (salviae officinalis folium);

1 pack contains sage leaves (salviae officinalis folium) 40 g or 50 g.

Dosage form

Leaf.

Main physical and chemical properties: pieces of leaves of various shapes and sizes. The upper surface of the leaves is greenish-gray and finely grained; the lower surface is white, pubescent and covered with a dense network of small protruding veins.

Pharmacological properties

Biologically active substances of the leaves compact epithelial tissues, reduce the permeability of cell membranes, strengthen the walls of damaged blood vessels. They have an astringent, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and hemostatic effect.

Indication

Diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis) and upper respiratory tract (laryngitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis).

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Use as directed by a doctor only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Method of administration and doses

Place 1 tablespoon of leaves in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.

Externally apply for inhalations and rinsing 3-4 times a day: adults and children over 12 years old - undiluted; children aged 7-12 years old - 4 tablespoons of infusion diluted in 200 ml of boiled water; children aged 3-7 years old - 2 tablespoons of infusion diluted in 200 ml of boiled water.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually.

The drug is used in children aged 3 years and older as prescribed by a doctor.

Overdose

In case of overdose, adverse reactions may be increased.
