Composition

active ingredient: sage leaf tincture;

1 bottle contains tincture of sage leaves (Salviae folium) (1:5) (extractant - ethanol 70.0% (v/v)) - 25 ml or 40 ml;

excipients: except for the extractant, none.

Dosage form

Tincture.

Main physical and chemical properties: greenish-brown or brown liquid with a characteristic odor. During storage, sediment formation is allowed.

Pharmacological properties

Biologically active substances of sage leaves (essential oil, tannins, saponins, phytoncides, resins) have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, astringent, and disinfectant effects.

Indication

- Inflammatory diseases of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, gums (stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontitis), pharynx, tonsils (pharyngitis, tonsillitis), upper respiratory tract.

- Infected wounds, cuts, skin burns.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

"Sage tincture" enhances the effect of other anti-inflammatory agents.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

As prescribed by a doctor in the event that the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Method of administration and doses

Shake before use.

To rinse the mouth, use as a freshly prepared solution:

Dilute 1 teaspoon of "Sage tincture" in a glass of warm boiled water.

For topical applications, dilute 20–60 drops of tincture in 100 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution.

The duration of the treatment course depends on the nature of the disease and the achieved therapeutic effect and is 7–14 days.

Children.

There is no clinical experience with the use of the drug in children under 12 years of age.

Allergic reactions are possible (including redness and swelling of the skin, rash, itching).
