Sagilia is an antiparkinsonian drug. Monoamine oxidase type B inhibitor. Indications for use
monotherapy in idiopathic parkinsonism; adjuvant therapy with dopamine agonists; adjuvant therapy with levodopa with final dose fluctuations.Warehouse
1 tablet contains rasagiline (as rasagiline tartrate) 1 mg; excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (PH 200), microcrystalline cellulose (PH 101), corn starch, pregelatinized starch, talc, sodium stearyl fumarate.Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any other component of the drug.
Concomitant therapy with other MAO inhibitors (including drugs and herbal preparations, such as those containing St. John's wort) or pethidine (the interval between discontinuation of rasagiline and the start of therapy with these drugs should be at least 14 days).
Severe liver failure.
Method of application
Monotherapy
Rasagiline is administered orally at a dose of 1 mg once daily.
Adjuvant therapy with dopamine agonists
Rasagiline is administered orally at a dose of 1 mg once daily.
Adjuvant therapy with levodopa
Rasagiline is administered orally at a dose of 1 mg once daily.
The drug can be used regardless of meals.
Application features
Rasagiline therapy should be initiated with caution in patients with mild hepatic impairment. Rasagiline should be avoided in patients with moderate hepatic impairment. Rasagiline should be discontinued in patients with progression of mild to moderate hepatic impairment.
Pregnant women
The drug should be prescribed with caution to pregnant women.
Children
Due to insufficient data on the use of the drug in children, Sagilia is not recommended for use in this category of patients.
Drivers
Patients should be cautious when driving or operating machinery until they are certain that rasagiline does not have any harmful effects.
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose of Sagalia when using doses from 3 mg to 100 mg: hypomania, hypertensive crisis and serotonin syndrome
Side effects
Infections and infestations: influenza.
Benign, malignant and unspecified neoplasms (including cysts and polyps): skin carcinoma.
From the side of the circulatory and lymphatic system: leukopenia.
On the part of the immune system: allergy.
Metabolism and nutrition disorders: decreased appetite.
Mental disorders: depression, hallucinations.
From the nervous system: headache, cerebrovascular disorders.
