Composition

active ingredients: salicylic acid, zinc oxide;

100 g of paste contains salicylic acid – 2 g, zinc oxide – 25 g;

excipients: potato starch, white soft paraffin.

Paste.

Main physicochemical properties: homogeneous paste of white or white with a faint yellowish tint.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Combined preparation for external use. The low concentration of salicylic acid contained in it (2%) exhibits anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and keratoplastic effects. Inhibits the secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands. Zinc oxide exhibits a weak antimicrobial, astringent, adsorbing effect, dries the skin, which leads to a decrease in exudation and helps reduce local manifestations of inflammation and irritation.

Pharmacokinetics

When applied externally, salicylic-zinc paste is practically not adsorbed into the systemic bloodstream and does not exhibit a resorptive effect.

Indication

Skin diseases: dermatitis, diaper rash, pyoderma, rosacea, acne, eczema, ulcers with a predominance of exudation.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Acute purulent diseases of the skin and adjacent tissues.

Special safety measures.

Do not allow the paste to get into your eyes. If the paste accidentally gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with plenty of running water.

It is not recommended to apply the paste to areas of the skin that get very wet, as well as if it is excessively dry.

It is not recommended for use in acute purulent processes. Do not apply to mucous membranes.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions

When used simultaneously with drugs for external use, new compounds with unpredictable effects may be created.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

The effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms has not been described.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

The safety and clinical efficacy of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been studied.

Method of administration and doses

Adults should apply the paste to the affected area in a thin layer 2-3 times a day. The duration of the course is from 6 to 20 days.

Children

The drug should not be used to treat children.

Overdose

Increased manifestations of adverse reactions.

Adverse reactions

Local reactions are possible (including itching, rash, burning, dryness, peeling of the skin, urticaria, hyperemia). Allergic reactions to the components of the paste.

4 years.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C; do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
