Pharmacological properties

Lactobacillus sporogenes (Bacillus coagulans) is a spore-forming bacterium that supports the growth of beneficial bacteria and inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria, thereby maintaining a healthy balance of intestinal microflora.

Lactobacillus sporogenes exhibits an immunostimulating effect by producing immunoglobulin M, G, and A, thereby being able to improve human immunity.

Spores of Lactobacillus sporogenes are acid-resistant, getting into the intestines, they mature and multiply. Spores produce lactic acid, which passes through membranes and reduces intracellular pH in pathogenic. This in turn leads to disruption of metabolic processes and death of pathogenic microorganisms. Also, spores produce bacteriocins (substances capable of damaging the membrane of pathogenic bacteria), which exhibit antimicrobial activity. By participating in the breakdown of proteins and carbohydrates, Lactobacillus sporogenes contributes to the normalization of digestion.

Streptococcus faecalis is a gram-positive bacterium that is a representative of the normal intestinal microflora. Streptococcus faecalis belongs to the genus Enterococcus, therefore, as a representative of this genus, it is able to prevent adhesion (sticking) and reproduction of pathogenic bacteria on the intestinal mucosa. Streptococcus faecalis is resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics and aminoglycosides, so it can be used together with antibiotics.

Bacillus mesentericus is a spore-forming bacterium that inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus albus, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Streptococcus viridans, Bacillus anthracis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella typhi. Bacillus mesentericus is involved in the synthesis of the enzyme amylase, which promotes the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates.

Streptococcus faecalis (Enterococcus faecalis), Bacillus mesentericus contribute to a significant increase in the number of lacto- and bifidobacteria in the intestine. Clostridium butyricum - a spore-forming bacterium, is effective against the pathogenic bacterium - Clostridium difficile, helping to reduce its reproduction. Clostridium butyricum produces short-chain fatty acids, such as butyric and acetic acid, thereby reducing the pH in the intestine, and as a result, the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Clostridium butyricum also contributes to the regulation of intestinal function.

Indications for use

The complex can be recommended as an additional source of prebiotics and probiotics that contribute to:

  • restoration of the ecological balance of intestinal microflora;
  • prevention of intestinal microflora disturbances when taking antibiotics (antibiotic-associated diarrhea);
  • normalization of the condition in gastrointestinal disorders associated with the presence of gastrointestinal infections;
  • normalization of digestion, due to the production of digestive enzymes;
  • strengthening the body's resistance forces by improving the work of immunity against microbial infections

Method of application

The capsule should be washed down with sufficient water and taken regardless of meals. If it is impossible to swallow the capsule (children and the elderly), the contents of the capsule can be dissolved in a small amount of water and taken orally regardless of meals.
